He's been playing fullback dealing with 1on1's virtually his whole career and probably getting slated for missing them tackles, so mixing it up in the middle should be a breeze for him!

A few people have mentioned Finn moving there. I just can't see it. Apart from good distribution from acting half back which he may be able to do, Hookers need to have a bit of pace and be able to tackle above their weight, they're both Finn's weak points. We haven't a clue if Moore's going anywhere yet but if he is we need a proper Hooker, not makeshift ones.

| Going to go away from the Grix, Finn and Howarth debate and go to how shocking Leeds were this year.
They get Segeyaro and they look a different team.

And that was my point about Howarth earlier this season. He doesn't actually do a great deal wrong, but you've only to look at the impact Scott Moore had when he returned to see how valuable a good hooker is. On Moore, personally I think he'll stay, but even so I reckon we need another hooker. With their financial situation looking bleak again, I'd be enquiring about Adam O'Brien at Bradford. Young, English and a promising looking player.

| Why is the financial position looking bleak. We are debt free apparently, we reduced our rent, we get the same money as the rest of SL and pay out the least in salaries. I guess it is a good way to reduce expectation because historically it was the case but we went through the austerity to be debt free with the benefits that was to bring.

You didn't read it correctly . He says Quote With their financial situation looking bleak again'" . He's talking about Bradford.

I'll quote to you what our owner said to me on this forum and you can take out of it what you want.
Quote Quote ="Daddycool"I can categorically state we do not get 1.825 central funding. We got 1.495 this year plus 100k towards the academy (which we have to match) and 100k goes into our foundation. Our costs are roughly 3.3 million so the sky money doesn't even cover half!'" '"

We don't though do we. We get the same basic Sky money but then miss out on the increments from 7th place upwards + our income from crowds is one of the worst. Nor counting other clubs sugar daddy input.
I'm sure you already know this though.

Sorry but, I disagree.
How many tackles does any full back make in a game compared to a no 9.
Most hookers are making in excess of 40 tackles a game and you just have to look at the upper bodies of most hookers compared to FB or SO etc.
As I said, I have no issue with with his passing skills but, just dont see him being capable of coping with the work load of the most demanding position in the team.

I agree with you on this and Finn would not be the answer either. Hopefully Moore will be staying and have a better run with injuries and disciplinary because we are nowhere near as good without him

Did he tell you who would be paying for the floodlight upgrading and the extensive concreting on the north stand terracing, both of which needs to be carried out before the new season starts at what you can imagine will be at a considerable cost.

Floodlights? Apart from the pitch they're the best thing about Belle Vue.

And that tells you everything!
The floodlights are near the end of their life, below the required lux requirement, in need of bulb replacement in numbers and currently without means of lowering due to the position of the stands. Not good at all!

Yes chiz you are correct from what I hear the cost of doing this could get us at least three top class players. That's why I have always been in the move from BV camp. Turd polishing every season is expensive and a huge drain on the club and most of all a total waste of money.
As far as the floodlights are concerned I don't think I can remember a time when more than 75% have worked. Also heard the bulbs are very old technology, very inefficient and short lasting and cost a fortune to replace.

Eh? Why would he tell me that, when it was a comment about how much we get from Sky. Anyway you saw the quote, so the answer is no.

| Maybe the talk of floodlights should be part of a different thread.
I remember when they went up in I think 1991 they were very bright.
Should we be looking at if we do get the green light to fully re vamp the ground to have the lights built into the stand roofs like in a lot of more modern stadia rather than on the tall pylons

I can't imagine he would, I just used your post to highlight the financial problems' facing the club, the cost of all the work has to be met from somewhere maybe the landlord might contribute who knows, one thing for sure if he doesn't the club will have to find the money from somewhere and the obvious answer to that is as PB says at the expense of bringing in 3 top signings.
Anyway not wanting to be accused of derailing the thread Scott Moore has had his legs slapped and is not leaving the club, not this time anyway.

Righto.
You're right the money will have to be found, but saying that surely MC would have known that practically from the moment we announced we were staying. Since then we've had CC saying we've made 5 new signings, one of which was an extremely good player from the NRL. Just to put a bit of a positive spin on things.
If Moore's stopping it's one less position to worry about that's for sure.

Think they went up 1990/1991 remember watching A team matches when they were played on Sat afternoon and a group of volunteers were always working on them.
