Well, although there is plenty of hype around the draw, both clubs will be happy with it.
We get a home draw against Championship opposition and Leigh get the lowest ranked club in SL.

I had heaps of texts saying it's a bad draw for us but, I'd rather get Leigh at home than Saints or Leeds away.

The cup game has no bearing on anything that may happen at the end of the season and whatever the result, the middle 8 is miles away.

Bring it on and lets make some progress in the cup !

Ask Halifax fans who fancied their chances how it went. They and to be fair me were expecting them to pinch it. Truth is even against an injury ravaged low on confidence Trinity team they were never really in it after the first 20 minutes. The the score flattered us but the result didn't, we were worthy winners.

Truth is we are SL's worst team but at full strength and on a good day we'd beat you fairly comfortably 9 times out of 10 - that's because there is still a big gulf in class between the bottom of SL and the top of the Championship.

Leeds you caught unawares unless you are seriously suggesting you're in the same class as them which would make you and idiot which I'm sure your not.

Salford are still not the real deal and still have the potential to crash and burn as demonstrated.

We are just plain desperate and the SL team least likely to under estimate you, even our players are not that stupid (I hope).

So it should be fun.

You think that because you've allowed yourself to get carried away with yourself due to Leigh beating a host of Championship clubs like Hunslet, Doncaster (even though they beat you last year) and Batley.

A scrappy home win against a shot to bits Salford team missing Chase, Dobson and Huraki while being down to just 2 interchanges and gifting you a try when it looked like you'd run out of ideas, doesn't make you invincible!

Wakefield will be getting back to something like full strength by the time this game comes around and you can have 2 Fui Fuis if you like but your forwards won't mix it with Wakefields.

Halifax might not even be good enough to qualify for the split so I wouldn't take much from that game.

I don't believe the gulf between the bottom of SL and Championship is massive. Leigh are full time and are a settled side.

For me Wakey are favourites, but I think it wil be whoever wants it more on the day. I don't think Wakey will beat Leigh comfortably 9 times out of 10.

Whatever the result I don't think it will have too much effect on the results during the middle 8. A lot of rugby to be played after this game, and injuries will play a big part for all sides come the split.
