| TBF I though Peacock put in a great stint for Leeds last nigh.
Over the past two years though ang going forward Kyle has been far better for us than Jamie has for Leeds, and as for Griffin and Moore .
Coaches have favourites but Leeds overlooking Kyle shows a huge failing on McDermott IMO, but Leeds loss has most certainly been our gain.
According to a story I heard yesterday McDermott uncertain on his future after this season.

| When you consider how long the spine of whino's team has been in place compared to our completely reconstructed side, last night's performance, even without the pressure of the occasion was way beyond expectation ( as was even getting to last night).
Like majority here, don't buy into blaming individual errors costing us the game.
Really proud of what Trinity have achieved.
Main concern remains the size & pace of whino's ( & wigan)- & in case anyone throws It into the mix-Burrows is a one-off.
Not sure how we make the next step without mucho more dosh.

Care to reveal who got through more graft then? From where I was sat Peacock seemed to pull in 4 or 5 defenders every carry and got out a fair few off loads as well. Must just be me pal!

Did you read what I wrote or are you looking for a pointless argument? Our pack is better than yours and because Peacock put in a good 'stint' doesn't mean that raises your forward's credentials - with Delaney, Kirke, Bailey, Griffin, Moore and Jones-Buchanan.....apart from the latter, that is not a Rhinos standard pack and they have definitely showed that on more than one occasion.

Yes pal your pack is class. Shame it didn't get on top of Leeds' last night. Griffin and Kirke I'll are gash I'll give you that one lad. As for Moore hasn't really played but when he has got a shirt has carried and defended better than them 2 to be fair. But If you really are suggesting that any prop you have at Wakey could even lace Peacock's boots then you're the deluded one.

| Peacock can be class on game day but those games are becoming less and less as seasons go on.
Peacock really turned up yesterday and fair play to him but I wouldn't want him at wakey as he is at the very end of a distinguished career.

He keeps rolling back the years in every big game he plays. Best front rower in the Super league era.

He certainly has been on of the best on th SL era, hard to disagree.
It's a shame age catches up to every player but he will still have a few good games in him for next year and probably some average games too. Shouldn't take away from the fact he has had a very successful career.
Will be hard for Leeds to replace for sure

Pace in RL isn't what people think, and we don't lack it.
Fox and Cockayne are pretty much as fast as Hall and the other lad in a foot race. What they don't get is the space and the service. Offiah was never the fastest player in RL but his natural ability to anticipate and the service of a brilliant team made him look like Mr Bolt himself. Neither Fox or Cockayne have a true wingers instinct nor do they get the service Leeds offer, but they are fast and most of the time do a bang up job.
One of the fastest winger I ever saw at Wakey was a lad called Gary Christie and his try tally was 2 in a season if I recall - one because he was hardly ever in position and two he was in a poor team.
Pace for me is not the issue.

| Remember Christie well, very fast didn't he end up at Bradford after us? Paul Sampson was probably the fastest weve had and he had no service either, kicked over once for him v Bradford away I think then neglected that tactic for the rest of the season. If he'd have Played outside sol and domic he would have bagged 25+ tries

Unbelievable to win 8 on the bounce and make the playoffs - we'd all have taken that mid season and prob would again next season

And let in a few.
What a nightmare our wing defences used to be with him on one side and Neil Law on the other.

| Always seemed to be standard procedure at Wakefield was to sign a quick winger then spend the whole season ignoring him ! Off top of my head the last one I can remember us using to great effect was probably Brian Juliffe. By far the most frustrating had to be the flying bingo caller Dave Jones, bags of pace but had the uncontrolable urge to run straight into other players when he could most probably have run straight round a lot of them.

Once again....I never said anything negative about Peacock? As a whole, our pack is better than Leeds' pack...and i'll stick by that statement.

| Very good season on the whole for us, and we probably deserved to sneak into the play offs. No shortage of effort and a great attitude on show on Friday night, we just lacked that little bit of class (and pace) at vital moments in the game. All in all though, we have punched above our weight for the majority of the season and Agar has got this team playing better than the sum of its individual parts and for that he deserves praise and thanks. some great acheivements accross the Park all year with Amor making it increasingly difficult to understand why Leeds didnt want him, Timmy Smith showing touches of brilliance and forming a great partnership with Sykes. Kirkmond leading from the front in the form of his life and Washbrook tackling everything that moves.
It's shame we couldn't find that extra bit of class on Saturday as it would have been a hell of an ending to the game with us being within a score or so, I dare say that there would have been plenty of pairs of bumholes chewing on their blue and yellow undies had Washy put that chance away.....

| i think we have had an excellant season, especially given the previous 2. well done to all of the boys.
as for the washbrook pass, yes it could have been better, but he was tired after all of the tackling he had done. one thing that has not had a mention was the move / ball from tim smith that put him into the gap.
