I get what you mean, i just think Hull have got some cheek claiming that nobody can speak to their under contract players, but they are happy to speak to ours and Rangi Chase.

Considering Wille Manu and Jordan Turner signed and were announced by Saints during the season it seems pretty obvious that as a club FC do give permission for players who are currently contracted to talk to other clubs

Says in the express we're signing 4/5 players and Lynne is the first of these.

Lyne, mathers, Sykes plus a prop and a.n other I would expect.

Reece Lynne has massive potential. A good signing for me.

Not set the world alight at Hull but at only 19 he has plenty of time to develop. Gives the squad depth and I doubt he'll be getting paid a fortune so definately worth a punt.

He's a direct replacement for Morton IMO. A squad player who may get the odd game, but not a first team regular. A period of time out on loan or dual reg would probably be beneficial.

Agar played him when he was there so clearly thinks a lot of him. Hasn't featured with gentle so seems like a good move to me.

It also said in the article in LE that we were talking to Steve Southern about releasing him from his contract. Its a shame but if it's not working out on either side its probably the right think to do.

At the moment our team looks good, but we are weak in some areas for depth.

Not true, Agar NEVER played any youngsters at Hull.

Ironically when I asked the question on the Hull board, after someone said Agar never played him, someone else said he played him too young.
They REALLy don't like Agar over there do they.

Agar use to play him and then when he had a bad game he would drop him the next game, even though others played just asbad and wouldn't be dropped, never got a really good run in the Hull side, but he never looked good enough for SL when he played, maybe a longer run in the team would have helped.

When he was a youngest about 16, was one of the best players in the country and Hull signed him on a long term deal as Wigan where after him, not sure why he hasn't progressed as he should have and maybe he needs a change of club.

I known Reece since he was 11 and is a really nice kid and really hope he does well at wakefield, hopefully the fact that we have released him to you from the last year of his contract without a fee, means the two clubs have a better feeling towards each other.

The difference for a rugby player at that age range is massive. I could easily see someone who didn't quite kick on at 16/17 but then do it in a big way at 19/20.
I assume that's what Agar sees. It will be a good test of skill sfor both Reece and Agar.

I hope it works.

I'd expect to see him go out on loan to a club that can give him regular first team rugby and some decent coaching - could be a decent prospect for the future.

How is Reece getting on? Looked at his stats and seen a few highlights and he looks like he doing OK, I commented on the first page that I doubt he would make a SL player when you signed, but would loved to be proved wrong, is he proving me wrong?

Was looking at 6month's out with torn pectoral n surgery but not as bad as seemed and available within a few weeks!!

Well thats ggod news, he's been very good so far and does not need 6 months out.
