NGB4C got his hat on again?? let's also look at the fact that we were 6-0 down at half time and had already lost griffin after 5 mins and then murphy left the ground at half time so we were down to only 2 interchanges for the second half...and also why was the try disallowed?? smith's kick and take to set up vievers for the try was fantastic, only piece of individual skill all afternoon from us! really ed off though because we were shocking..JK is leaving at the end of the season and i agree with the comments of "pay him up"..i can't take much more

Well thats not going to happen over night, a few months ago we had no club, then we got that back and it looked like we had no franchise, now we have a franchise and the coach is leaving, in between all this the clubs worked hard to improve match day (off the field at least) now it seems to me thats the right way to do things unless anyone wants to tell me thats wrong.

We have something special happening at this club and we need to dig in and support, if that means watching a poor out classed side then so be it.

At times its like being at play school on here, PETTY whinging about anything.

Times are hard, and like many I wish this season would end, but theres a light at the end of this tunnel, mainly cos we have the greatest fans ever!

I'm sure we have many more feathers, like the ST and DS that could be added, you get the jist though.

The club have worked wonders in a small time scale and we'll just have to be patient.

Unfortunately, the whole day was a bit of a joke - the staff walking on to the pitch in a half-hearted, slightly embarassed way, the potical half time entertainment that never actually happened and the total and utter tripe served up by the players.

From the outside looking in, who would've thought that earlier this week, we achieved what appeared to be utterly impossible?

I can only assume that everyone at the club was either still hung over, or still reeling from the franchise decision.

I wouldn't blame it on John Kear. He's kept Wakey in SL despite a total lack of financial resources. The club's SL future is saved and then he's immediately shown the door. Marvellous. Wakey fans should remember that Kear won the C Cup for Hull and then got sacked for a 'poor start' to the following season. Hull brought in an Aussie coach to improve on JK's clearly inadequate coaching skills. Step forward Peter Sharp fans, and explain to us what an improvement he was on Kear. If he winds up at Cas, and you get the next Sharp, you'll only have yourselves to blame if Cas turn up at Belle Vue and give you a tonking.

I really hope he gets the Cas job and better still allow him total control over their recruitment

We didn't make him apply for the Catalans job or say last week that he was interested in the Cas job.

well said. most people didn't think we would start the season never mind come from 20 points down and beat cas, beat hudds get at least half a dozen wins with a handful of young lads, a new owner, debts paid. new 3 year franchise. develop belle vue and newmarket is still on the cards. if someone had offered us this before the season started we would have snatched their hand off. everything after the franchise is a bonus. as someone else said. enjoy the ride. t.w.a.s

I think that about sums it up for me. The terrible standard of rugby coupled with there being nothing to play for, bar pride which we don't seem to have, makes for a very dull afternoon.

Think you're being a tad harsh with the criticism here people.

Let's be realistic. If the two worst teams in SL can't produce a game of stunning boredom, who can?

The Crusaders weren't too bad, Wakefield were appalling. Trinity were that bad they even made Tony Martin look like Greg Inglis.

I keep thinking back to the 2001 side. On paper, they where prob worse than this years team, but they never gave up.

You sack the coach two days after the franchise announcement look what message that sends to the team.... new broom and all.... Crusaders had a point to prove as well... but all those players who have struggled all season but turned over a few teams including mine, deservedly so on the day too, suddenly see the door out with Kerr getting 'sacked' what do you guys expect... lots of speculation about a new coach, what players are coming in.... i know they are professional and should give 100% but with the dole queue for some and Championship for others now.... would you put your body on the line ?
