Interesting to see RM being so honest about his reason for leaving us and his feelings on it now, and although it's the sun, and you expect poor journalism it's another media outlet that is reporting we were spared only by crusaders going pop.
As far as I can see there is nothing to back this up, but yet another so called fact doing us down. A good pr man should be the first signing we make to restore the balance after years of media negativity.

I agree with you and it will haunt us for years and to most people will become fact - a bit like some of the more lurid stuff regarding Ted has cemented itself as fact regardless of whether it is or not - and that's not a go at you personally either. It's just the way people work they believe what suits them, I have done it we all have.

There are so many damaged egoes in RL right now that we are and will remain RL scapegoats for years to come. Nothing AG or anyone else can do about that short term, prepare for a bumpy ride as a Trinity fan.

The club needs to get more media savvy and the PR game needs playing much better. I noted that during Richard Wrights interview that they were never worried about their franchise security because of A B C & D etc. I don't believe that for a minute but it helps maintain the illusion that Castleford are streets ahead of us, well done to Cas for adopting this strategy it's up to us to match and surpass them.

With the redevelopment of Belle Vue, Newmarket hopefully not far away, new sponsors, new players and lots of other positive initiatives in the pipeline, the club needs to position itself well to make the most of it all.

I'll certainly go with you on the latter. Though to be fair the thing I like most about AG is his PR nouse so now he has more time he may take it on board himself.

It's not fair enough for me - he sounds like a man who's expecting to be here next season; not a good thing in my view.

I think the best part of that is where Kear acknowledges that we need to move away from a selling club.

Look at Mick Potter before he left Saints - didn't he sign Josh Perry for them? and Brian McClennan for Leeds? Didn't he bring in Ben Cross?

Not the best examples mate. One has been out injured most of the season and the other was released early from his contract because he was playing crap

If they keep Kear, then (a) I am sure he will be allowed to select his own backroom staff (which will mean he keeps them; (b) I don't have as much faith in their ability to steer us to better things, cos Kear needs to go.

The fact he has failed in 3 job applications that we know of should tell you he is not the answer to getting us back towards the top 8.
