More established posters have know this to be the case for a good number of months, like I have previously said the notion of a pre-pack was put forward a good few months ago- only to be thrown out in principle by our former BoD.

With the best of intentions Ted and Co thought that us going into administration (no matter how good the pre-pack) would mean the end of SL in Wakefield. So the idea never got off the ground.
To the best of their knowledge at the time Ted and Co saw themselves doing the right thing, rather than the bleeding image so would rather. It's very easy for us to be judgemental with the benefit of hindsight- it's a beautiful thing.
They saw the club as still having other options to explore before the final resort administration was seen as.

To even the most critical of fan I put this question to you " 2 months ago if I were to have asked you if us and Crusaders go into administration at EXACTLY the same time will we be treated equally or dealt a more harsh punishment?"- Ted and co (like many I suspect) thought we would come off worse, with this being the final blow so to speak. I believe they acted with the best of intentions and with passion and commitment to the end. Far from being the Saddam figure some paint him to be- lurking in the shadows, maintaining control through a "puppet regime".

So it's hardly surprising that a pre-pack has been put together before publicly taking the formal steps of administration- it's common practice.

End product: The man who wanted us all along (the richest chairman in SL elect) Mr Steve Parkin got us in the end.

Irrespective of how things could've gone, and I have no more ability in predicting the future than Ted, he's giving the club away for nowt now and he would've been giving the cub away for nowt two months since.
His only intention in my view, in hanging on, was to try and con the supporters of Wakefield into bailing out his kids trust fund.

Is this Mr Parkin related to the late, great Trinty legend Jonty Parkin? That's what I heard but it may have been wishful thinking.

If true, and lets face it here, you're as credible as most of us hiding behind usernames to protect our 'real' identities, what of the other parties who have come out as interested? Publicity stunts?

Genuine bids. With as much chance as winning as anything SP puts forward in theory.
My point was the usual practice suggests those who organise the pre-pack usually come out. As it has done this time.

Mr Glover should be praised for his commitment and welcomed to the table, as I'm sure he will be if he still wishes to make an investment in WT. As long as it's agreeable to both parties.

Like most people on this site I have to hold my hand up and admit to knowing nothing. The only difference being I know that I know nothing.
Unfortunately the people I have contact with hardly know what day it is so my chances of gleaming inside information is zilch.
I just hope that whoever comes in has Wakefield at heart and the money to back their ambition.
I just want a stable future. I am p*ss*d off with all this and just want to watch rugby.

Most of us know nothing that's why we come on, we also come on to pass on what we know/hear to be true relating to WT.

Some come to brag and find pleasure with-holding information, I prefer to do unto others and facilitate the basic use of this/ any other forum.

As long as people are honest.. Oh wait!

Just a couple of things - I hope our potential buyer honours the season tickets already bought - especially mine (a joke!) and that there is some moner to improve the team because if we don't get a couple of top class props and hopefully a playmaker we're in for a long hard season!

As for 'facts' 1 and 2, I don't see evidence, so I don't have to believe it. Hearsay you could call it, rather than fact, until proof is provided, which I very much doubt will surface.

None of what I have been said has been discredited by anyone with a knowledge of what has really gone on.

I would not worry over the ticket, the money you mention would be nice but lets not forget a couple of weeks back we could have faced having no club at all to support, lets just be thankfull for the time being and see what the future holds.

We are Wakey fans, nothing every goes right for us.

I am not slagging anyone off mate, and feel free to look back at any post I have place on your forum and you will see that I am more that supportive of your cause. Do you really think that we are that blind, that we don't want Wakey in Super League rather than a team that has been bank rolled over and over again, in a area where it will never work. I simply felt lthat the statement made was one of self sympathy. He/she may have been relating to the fans, but I still don't think there has been much for you to be disappointed about during your time in Super League.
