Now then the cat may be out of the bag, there have been massive assumptions by all sorts of trades (fans journalists etc) that its Oakwell well people may just be a bus ride off of what the club have up its sleeve for plan B.
I am sure all will be revealed shortly

Hope not one trip to Leeds a season is enough plus it would look ridiculous a 35,000 + stadium with 6 to 7 thoushand fans in it, possibly less when some of the expansion teams came

| Not so sure that would be a good move. Unlike Barnsley theres NO chance of enticing any of the locals to watch us and our support would drop off significantly. I would of thought we'd lose money hand over fist playing there.

| if everyone is worried about mergers and feeder teams etc. What about exploring the possibility of a merger of sorts with dewsbury? If they were interested:
They have a ground that could be developed as there's bugger all around it.
They have much less chance of getting in SL with the franchise system.
Their could be a beneficial dual registration of players.
It's a lot closer than Leeds or Barnsley, it's practically on the doorstep.
Warren jowett a former player and wakey lad, joint sponsors.
Just thinking out loud?
Reduced running costs etc.

That would be a good move until Newmarket is sorted, only 10 minutes from Wakefield, we've always had a good relationship with LUFC using their shop in the Ridings in the mid 90s, LUFC reserves playing at Belle Vue.
We could just open the west stand for the games with no away fans celtic, quins huddersfield to minimise cost and open the south stand for sides with a bigger away following and the Revie Stand for probably the biggest crowd when we play the Rhinos. Do a deal for Wakefield based LUFC season ticket holders and with the increased away support it could work. Knowing Ken Bates though he won't be letting us rent Elland Road on the cheap or has it got anything to do with him? who owns Elland Road is a mystery.
We must keep pressing on with Newmarket though as moving back into the City of Wakefield ASAP is a must.

Newmarket would be leaving the "city" too so no big deal really. Leaving the District would be more accurate.

Indeed it would. Regardless the headline has done its job and got peoples attention without the article having anything of substance to it.

It would still be leaving the city as the boundary is just beside Pinderfields Hospital.

| Judging by this morning's League Express, Ted Richardson's Plan B is to sling mud at Castleford's stadium efforts.

Care to expand for those without a copy?'"
Quote Headline is: Wildcats make plea for fairness
He states in the article: "I don't think it is right to criticise..." before launching into comparisons between Wakey and Cas.
- We have to submit for full PP
- Wake have everything ready including land and funding, Cas don't
- Criticises Cas saying there has been big talk and no action
- We haven't had access the 2m funds because we've not set up a trust yet.
- Wakey are closer to finishing their stadium than Cas '"
Three points are true, but regardless of point two (I don't know the funding situation, but word has it it's all sorted) and point five (which isn't actually based on any evidence), I'm not sure what putting down the Cas stadium situation is going to get him.
