So lets pretend I am wrong and it was the Sun who contacted Burrow, it makes no difference, a man in his position should not be peddling tittle tattle with the press before he has the facts from both sides. Just because a paper rings him does not mean he has to give them a one sided tale, he is allowed to say to the paper I do not have all the facts, when I have spoken to the club I will be able to give you full details. He has caused damage to the club with his unprofessional behaviour.

What is quite common practice in these circumstances is that the employer will say to their staff that they are sorry there has been a mixup/confusion/cockup and that they will end up being paid a couple of days late. They quite often then say that if they are affected by late charges etc... that they would be willing to deal with those for the individual if they are given proof. That way the individual isn't out of pocket in the long run. None of us on here, that I know of, are in the employ of WTWRLFC so we do not know the details of what was said to them. I know for a thing that when companies don't pay on time it looks bad for them, and when staff are public in their criticism about their company, it also looks bad on them too. See the flak that Chris Moyles got when he criticised his employers.

There needs to be a certain realism about scenarios like this, and as fans we are not going to be privvy to all the details, not now with our current financial situation, not if we had tens of millions sat in the bank either.

A bit like the usual bodies that come on here to moan about the club and post.

this whole saga's a farce but what you can gain from rants on here is a mystery and at least the defender gets of his booty and "does what he can" unlike some people.

you are starting to make yourself look silly, why on earth should it be left to you to defend the club or tell us whats going on. you maybe well in but its not your job, thats why the clubs stuck in the dark ages because they run it like amateurs. its there job to show some balls and front up to the fans not yours,you may not see it but theyre taking the pee out of you like they have done many before.

I would have to agree with this, at times TRB's becoming public enemy No1 and it should not be happening but in all fairness you can't fault him for it.

Oh i don't disagree but they won't, it seems.

Those people won't post on here and IMO nor should they, but we all see it differently.

I agree that they shouldn't post on here, and I agree that, at times, the info is quite slow through the official channels, but I think there are good reasons at times why I can make some comment, which is based on the official position, without it being a fully-fledged club statement.

We are trying to do something to improve these issues - so that all the supporters are better informed on matters, but in truth, it can never be the complete picture when someone is trying to run a business.

I'll just keep trying to help, but as far as this week goes, it has been frustrating. There are reasons for the hold-ups, and at times these have literally run from one day to another, resulting in it being difficult to keep all informed of progress. It is all now resolved and everyone can fix their focus on the next issue, the 22nd October, the results of which will make this weeks events seem small time!

The receptionist was not a temp. She was employed, in the main through the classroom (WMDC and Govt funds) that is not running anymore, no classroom, no receptionist. Probably why Geoff could not get through.

Geoff IMO was simply doing his job as a Union Rep, defending his clients, no evidence it was him that contacted the Sun, it was probably a player who was upset. and then GMB would be contacted. Just a presumption.

So, the players dont get paid, the clubs facing a massive tax bill, players are leaving left right and centre and been replaced by players most of whom come on one year deals (signalling something isnt right for the second year when the franchises are sorted) and you expect me and many others to come on here and not moan.

Hell, lets all meet at Cats bar have a right good drink and a party because the club is in dire straits !!

But isn't the danger here that we lump everything together and see a bigger picture that isn't there? Looked at individually, although the garden is maybe not rosy, I don't see many problems. The concerns appear to be:
1. Taxman
The club have said that we were disputing the amount owed, and so we were right not to pay it. If what was posted elsewhere is accurate, this is all due to the ongoing image rights issue, which will involve bigger clubs than ours for larger amounts, and the HMRC were using us to prove a point because we were easier to take on: less money owed, and we won't pay for the fancy lawyers. The RFL were aware of the dispute, and it isn't just us. The winding up order was the HMRC playing hardball. We were the test-pots.

2. Ted has no money.
That is no fault of the club, and nothing to do with mismanagement of the club.

3. Players leaving
Who has left at the end of the season who people would rather stay? Gleeson and Blanch have had the fans on their backs for most of the year (and with some justification), and opinion on JD was divided between those who wanted to reward his loyalty and those who wanted a better player on the park. Latu won't be missed, in my view, and he is easily replaced.

4. Players not signing.
JD and JK have both spoken out about this, and it does not seem to be the club's fault that we are not attracting big names, as it partly a spin-off on the commonly held view that we haven't got a future beyond next year.

5. Players not getting paid
If you accept that the issues raised above are not really club issues, we have one blip, which I presume has been corrected.

No, that was just a rumour that I started.

Yes the clubs struggling and needs fans to rally round in any way they can, or someone to take over the club lock stock and all that, otherwise we are on a downward spiral and who knows what will happen.

Think i'll try and stay positive and do what i can, my choice.

That the club is struggling is far too obvious. The big disappointment is that it seems to happen every year and that we lurch from one near fatal incident to the next.
With Trinity there is no "onwards & upwards" only bouncing along the bottom seemingly feeding off the scraps. I say seemingly because rumour far outways news from the club.
It is unforunate that none of us are in a position to help.
I have checked my Euromillions ticket and there will be nothing from me for at least 1 more week.

So have they been paid or not? Do they deserve paying? Seems to me that if we do go down the pan the thing most people will miss is coming on here to moan about how crap everything is.
