trinfan71 - you are clearly not a driven individual in your chosen profession. Tronc is a highly paid professional sportsman' sometimes you have to do things you dont desperately want to do. People often have to sacrifice say 6 months worth of their personal life to succeed in their chosen profession. He should have played for the rest of the season, end of story.

I think the difference is that Clinton O'Brian wasn't all that and most people would agree that until recently Tronc was. That's the hard thing to swallow. We are loosing a very good prop (very difficult to replace).

But having said that, if I had just signed for say York, and then the opportunity came up to play for Wakey and it might be my only chance to play for em - then I might react in a similar fashion to Tronc.

Obviously we don't know the exact ins and outs but in reality it can be hard to keep your principles sometimes.

Still think Tronc was the best prop we have had in yonks. 2 average games do not do justice to the on field influence he had for trin. Just a shame he could not have stayed longer as he would have been in with a shout of man of steel.

For the reasons stated by KK probably not, but if he is interested i would...id rather us sign someone who we know about, and as far as im concerned, he performed very well in the wakey colors, than take a gamble on someone like laeano who has played 5 nrl games in about 3 years...
