Jeffries was/is a needless signing regardless of this issue. Unfortunately instead of it been just an uninspiring signing, it’s now meant the club have to let go arguably their best forward.

Absolutely gutted if this is true. It's no coincidence that our good form coincided with Stosic's return to the 17. In my opinion he is our best forward and i'd do anything to keep him here.

With Snitch leaving and now Stosic we seem to have a lot of engine.

its nothing to do with the club . stotic is of macedonian decent thriugh his fathers side so can legally claim his passport but has to jump through some legal loops first.he is quite happy with everything about wakey and speaks very very highly about the way he has been looked after. so you will just have to look for another excuse to bag the club. not their fault.

Didn't it accure to the club to ask stostic about his passport application before negotiating contracts with new overseas players! didn't they realise he was still using his Oz/Nz passport when we travelled to france?.

ben jeffries has nothing to do with it as british citizenship as has had for a couple of years. stoch needed to do some things to sort his masedonian passportand it hasnt happen nothing to do with the club. ask the man himself speaks very highly of wakey

The deal was always that he would get the Macedonian passport. However, whilst it may not be the club's fault that he hasn't got one - it will be the club who will suffer for the lack of having one and, if they were conscious of the potential problem, then they could have made allowance.

Things are getting very confusing. When Jeffries was announced the press relations at the time confirmed that he took up the last Quota space.

Well here are somel home truths.

Stoz was given a contract that stated the first year he would be an overseas player the second year was on the condition he would obtain a Macedonian passport. Quite simple I would have thought !

Both the player and HIS AGENT! assured the club they would do this.
From the start of this deal to around now Stoz has had a good 18 months to sort this out.

I have also been told that if he had bothered to turn out for Serbia in the recent emerging nations competition he would have automatically have been granted a passport. Stoz knew this but prefered a trip to USA.

We are dealing with a situation where a proffesional person who is reasonably intelligent and mature along with his agent knew they have a clause in their contract of employment to honour ,surely the onus is on them to comply with this clause and to sort it out.


Do you doubters honestly think that JK would have allowed this to happen, he has planned his squad and recruited accordingly, then one player returns back on the first day of traing and drops a bombshell like this! I can't see why anyone can blame the club for this one.

So the conclusion is that it's not the clubs fault and Stos is a really nice bloke (even thoughhe couldn't be bothered to sort his passport, therefore leaving the club in the smelly stuff regards props

I guess this is what happens when you bend the rules. If we weren't so reliant on oversea's players we wouldn't even have to worry about something so stupid as quota, non quota, home trained etc.

He or at worst the club has allowed this to happan!!!
