cas derby games are a real leveller,unlike other derbys in the likes of wakey and leeds these kids all go to school together and have probably played the game in the school yard 100s of times so the fear factor isnt there in the game and the ones that normally hold back dont.

lane have improved from last year and have a real gem of a player in the halves and are a good tackling unit.

churwell chiefs under 11 vs oulton tomorrow at 11:30..after what i have read about stanningley, perhaps they might team up with hunslet warriors.. oh i forget .. it's okay for warriors to fight, kick, punch etc until they get a bit back (like from queens last year) and they then refuse to play !

Crigg under 10's won away at whinmoor today 36-18 . Didn't play well today to be honest , defensively not at the races today and it was just 1 man rugby for most of the game - but anyway - a wins a win as they say !
Another bad thing , one of our lads ( who loses it v. Easily) ended up in a kicking match with one of their players . Came off 2nd best though so might think twice next time - rest of the game was ok though.

eastmoor u10s 22 cas panthers u10s 24

a cracking game of rugby with the lead changing hands 4 times in the second half has the teams were locked 12-12 at half time,some good rugby played too with the ball been shipped around superbly.delighted with the win for our boys eastmoor seem to always just beat us but today we played well and kept our nerve to hold eastmoor out at the end.

Drighlington 18 Stanley Rangers 6 bit of a disappointing result from what as a tough game, its the first time I have visited their ground and heard about how short the field was, the 20 and 30 yard lines are within a foot of each other and also the pitch seems very narrow which made the game more of a face to face encounter, both side couldn't get much moment going and was level at 0 -0 after 20 mins,

one think that stood out is the amount of off-sides and markers not standing straight at the play the ball, at one time one of their lads was right at the back of the scrum waiting for the ball to come out

the young ref wasn't biased in anyway but I thought failed to get them back the desired distance.

cracking game to watch, our only try came from a beautiful looping pass missing to players to reach the winger who ran in 40 yrds out if we only had a full side pitch I feel the result could of been the other way

forget the score but Stanley beat Shaw cross @ the sharks home ground by 2 points

a tough game with a little bit of claret on show that was Topsy turvy all way trough.

what a tough league and age group they are turning it into,very little between any of the sides and all improving which is the most important thing of all.

He's fine thanks mutts, glued him back together at A+E!! Not seen that much blood on the rugby field for a while! Good game where attack dominated proceedings....think it finished 26-28 to us.

cas panthers u10s travelled to shaw cross this morning and kept their 100% start to the season going with a 12-22 win.

another solid display where other than a 10 minute spell in the second half we were totally dominent but yet again our goal kicking kept the oppostion in the game has we only landed 1 from 5 attempts.

Crigg u10's won again today against wibsey finally playing at home . Won the game 50-8 but couldn't knock the wibsey lads for their efforts , never stopped trying , been moved up this season which they were suprised about - good set of parents , players and coaches too - good morning all round .
Townville away (again) next week , should be a harder game.

stanley rangers under 12s beat Upton today 36 - 4 , we needed to get back on track and we did in fine style, down side for me was my lad had to come off at half time when he aggravated a knee injury only for him to go back on then come off with a finger injury

normanton u13's won stanley wildcats 30 - nil today, shame the stanley team, coaches and parents didn't stay for the man of match speech..very unsporting of them....

I don't like this it getting to be a trend that I wish the parents would get out of,

today we had a few fists flying and one sin binned, once off the pitch forget about it unfair to not let the kids socialize after the game,

we had the same last week and a few of our parents wanted to go home earlier last week bit I felt we raised above it praising the young lads as they collected their awards, its a shame they didn't repay the gesture for us

yes i was at the game. normy played well. stanley kept trying right to the end. shame the parents and coach went . the players deserved better. not a very good example to set

Stanley 10s entertained dewsbury Celtic today and came away with a
52-14 win

A bit like the Normanton parents and coaches who did not come back today to Stanley's club after their under 11's were beaten 26 to 4.

I would mind but our parents help out in putting a buffet up for the lads after the match, has it come to this that we can't at least show are appreciation after the game come what may

I do know we have experienced verbal abuse in the past but I have found it better to confront them with common curtsy and have won them over in the past, I've yet to get negative from them

thats a good win regardless of the opposition,we go to celtic next week it will be the first time we have played them so dont know what to expect really.

i was at the normy v stanley u13s game on saturday, your coach came up to us and said he had to go, so we assumed there would not be a man of the match award,also the stanley coaches had to go cos they play for the open age. all the kids went back for something to eat so i think you are trying to cause issues when there was non!
