great signing imo. good defence. big, strong, aggressive. can see us having one of the best packs in sl next year.

Tremendous signing, he'll sure up our defence so we dont have asmuch small men on the field.

Lets not forget, he was a International Hooker playing against the best he has a tremendous amount of expierence which he will use to great effect in tight matches and hopefully off the field aswell. He can dictate a game and get us some cheap yards from dummy half, he'll also add some brunt to our front row which ive felt for a while we've been lacking.

Maybe hes lost abit of pace and cannot play the full 80 anymore but we have good back up hookers in obst and latu.

I'd agree if I though Drew would play often enough but I don't think he has 20+ games a season left in him. He must have missed 20+ in two seasons, and we didn't lose all the ones he missed.

agreed, but there's no guarantee that Newton is gonna play any more, and from the point of view of bringing on our youngsters, I think they could learn more from brad.
I am not saying I don't agree with the signing, just that we will have to rely on brough a lot more, drew gives us options, and has won us games, I hope Terry Newton (who I agree has been a class player and brings different attributes, from which we will benefit from) will do the same, only time will tell!

Newton brings something different to Brough. Drew takes something away from Brough....in my opinion only
