I don't agree about Riley.
The kick through just bounced the other way as he was putting hands on.
The one where he was tackled in to touch he was well covered and to be honest I thought he got the ball away too. Bad decision there.

I thought he had some poor passes to the wing and probably made more ground in first up drives than any of the forwards.

We'll have to agree to disagree, it's a game of opinions. Fox and Cockayne were both better than today's pairing.

So was Fred Smith and Gert Coetzer, but they don't play for us now either

Personally I don't want to see Riley again unless forced to by injuries etc. . Like previous poster said we have to take our chances and he is just so slow to react to anything. Johnstone would have scored the first effort imo , Riley seems to take a few seconds to decide what to do instead of just going for the line. Hopefully B. Smith now knows the team he wants to play and we can see a more settled side going into the next few weeks. Also thought Craig Hall was poor again today…..no enthusiasm whats so ever….

Hall why chose to single him out, this appears more to do with expectation rather than fact. I would remind you that the majority of the tries came on the Lyne and Riley wing plus Anakin was responsible for missing a tackle allowing Warrington to score their first points plus he tried to pass giving Warrington possession from which they scored again. I would also point out that after the second error he was immediately pulled off by Smith.

I have no problem with Anakin but I do with people who look to regurgitate what they have read from the experts who post on here.

When Annakin tried to pass he was facing the northstand and we were attacking the southstand how could Bentham say it was a knock on the Wire player knocked on trying to reach for the ball

In reply to S. Pimpernell I chose to single Hall out because I thought he was poor today and has been on many previous occasions….he has had umpteen chances to show his intentions and has failed miserably IMO obviously !!!!

Yep its disappointing that Hall does not appear to have responded to the arrival and input of Brian Smith like most of others in squad.

Well its obvious to me and probably more on here that the poster has a thing about Riley as he is the only player he lambasts every post.

Personally i'd be taking a look at the guy stood next to him, who in my opinion is reverting back to his old useless self.

Yes he did, despite what some might want to believe. Our problem today was the position one in from him and not for the first time.

Well to be fair most of the team have been poor all season. But I think Riley and the majority of the squad have picked up since Smiths arrival. There are only a couple that I have doubts about (McShane and Lyne) and Hall who by a long stretch has been the worst player this season. From any team.

That 'not SL' standard winger scored thirty tries in a season with Warrington.

I thought Riley was good today. Made some hard yards returning kicks.

That was just one of many bizarre decisions from Bentham. I think that is the worst referring performance I've ever seen from the guy.

He didn't alter who got the 2 points but the game would have been a lot more enjoyable if he'd put in a better referring performance. All IMVHO.

Clearly you didn't go to Crusaders away a couple of years ago. The guy hammered us and at the end smiled and winked at the Wakey fans



The referring quality is decling at an alarming rate. I'd say the only decent ref atm is Thaler and even he is losing grip.

I thought it was one of Rileys better games for us.

That is true I didn't make Crusaders away. So it is the worst I've seen of Bentham.

I also think Thaler is the best of a bad lot. To be honest I think the overall standard of referring at the games I've attended in person this year has been left wanting.

Riley was one of our top metre makers... Runs it in hard every time. I dont understand why people come on here to single out players and slate them.

No good getting on at Riley. Maybe he isn't the best but a good winger needs a good centre. Coetzer had Fox. Tom Johnstone would probably be in every week if he had a half decent centre giving him good ball instead of throwing 50% of them into touch. All the good wingers in Superleague have far better centres than us. Lyne is no centre and Arundel is not much better and after watching Hall at stand of nuff said. Is Alan Skene still available?

a decent winger doesn't shoot in like a headless chicken as much as riley does, a decent winger can catch a ball, a decent winger stands on his line behind the play to run on to the ball unlike riley who twice on sunday was 15 metres inside for a ball passed out and in front of the play! sorry but give johnstone the shirt riley has been pathetic all season!
