As far as I can tell, it's not meant to be a big screen to see the action on - it's a space for local businesses to stick adverts on.

Think thats the problem. Where it was located yesterday from behind the sticks you would need binoculars to see what was being advertised.
Good idea by the cluub, but think they need to try and find a better place to locate it (if possible) |

I suppose its worth a trial run just to get feedback...quite a few grounds have adverts integrated into the scoreboards for everyone to see, and we all glance at the score from time to time.
