The crowd against Wire is the first real indication that the natives are becoming restless.
Polls and threads are pointless apart to get stuff off your chest that irritates you.
For some people to keep defending bizarre selections, useless use of interchanges and baffling loans, in and out, I can't see how they can.
It's good but not good that fans are giving a clear indication of where they think this team is being lead.

There were 5 possibly six players played out of position on Sunday. Also 3 props against a big, strong, and very physical pack. If that's an experienced coach we might as well put the tea lady in charge.

3 1/2 thousand is our lowest SL attendance for a vey long time.
We seem to be at a similar crossroads to the one that Cas arrived at under Milward.
Poor team no effort and with leader (Agar) that didn't have the respect of either the players or the supporters.
They were brave enough to make a change and look t them now.

It was after a poor crowd of around 3K last year that Cas acted and finally got shut of Millward and they haven't looked back since. Sadly i don't think our chairman has any intention of removing our own under-performing coach from his role so we will just continue to limp along.

IF we lose on Sunday, and IF the bulls get points back, unquestionably Agar has shown he is not the man to lead us out of this quandary.
For me the club not replacing him would be an act of self sabotage.
Even if the Bulls don't get points back, losing twice against our nearest rivals in the fight for survival/relegation should see him shown the door.
Failing to act on this would be hugely counter productive IMO.

...all that said I think we will win on Sunday and the Bulls will get nish from the independent panel.

I've said all along I believe our poorer performances are more down to losing to better sides, been short of players etc....more than down to the coach and I've defended the experimenting and the early form with needing time to gel, no pre season etc.......but......

These 2 next games are games we should be expecting to win though....the table isn't telling lies....we are about the 3rd worst team in the league just behind Salford and a few others...everything about us as a club dictates that should be about where we should be.....but I believe with potential to be amongst those 3 or 4 teams above us....the bottom 2 have been a far bit worse so they are games we should be winning....

If we fail to win those two games then I will gladly hold my hand up and say there is no excuse any more....the coach and the players we have available should be good enough to get 4 points......

If we win those next 2 we will be in a much healthier place and can hopefully enjoy the last 3rd of the season......maybe start getting a few out of contract players sorted for next season and look at new signings to replace what we are losing.....if we do win the next two will fans lay off all the Agar out stuff for now and get right behind and support the club until the season end....I wonder?

I think the end came for Millward came after we lost to London at home. I've never in all my years as a Cas supporter known anything like it. London had probably brought a dozen fans and they were the only fans in the ground you could hear. No booing from the cas fans just a stunned silence at what we were witnessing. however every cloud has a silver lining and it spelt the end for Millward. The improvement started almost immediately when Danny Orr took temp control. It may not be a bad thing if you lose both games to dulls and London.

Agar's attitude on Boots n All last night worries me. Robbie Paul stressed that sunday's game is a must win for the Bulls and the team are fired up for it. Agar's attitude was that if we lose it's not that important because we have plenty of home games still to play ! I hope that this is not what his pre match talk to the players is because it hardly motivates them to give their all for the club. Oh for a John Kear pre match motivational speech, he may not have been the best coach we have ever had but he could certainly get the time fired up and determined to win crucial games !

I do not have an answer to that, other than to get rid of a coach without a replacement does not make a lot of sense to me, perhaps you have somebody in mind because I would be interested to know who is available at the moment.

I have voted for him to stay at the moment, but if the next two matches end in defeats, then I will be changing my mind !!!

Tony Rea is still hanging about why not give him a shot till end of season. At least on commentary on sky he knew where the players should have been playing and not where they are playing at the moment.

Of we lost the next 2 games then MC needs to get rid quick but I think it may be just 2 games too late

strange how it was Robbie Paul that did the inteview rather than Cummins. I've thought that in his last few after match interviews Cummins seems to have lost it a bit emotionally. Seems close to tears and lost for answers, much gulping and head shaking.

In answer to the OP. I think Agar has it bang on with this (I voted to go as well). If the coach bangs on about it being must win all week, that livelihoods depend on it and that it's the most important game of the clubs life etc and we lose, what hope does he have of ever getting them to believe the message that we can still stay up. I'm sure they all know how important the game is but there is no need to mentally destroy the team if we lose. We need them ready to fight all season not just against the bulls and London

Tony Rea has certain things in common with Agar in as much as both clubs had the bones picked by other clubs' for the want of a better expression, the difference is that Wakefield recruited better despite having no individual to subsidise us as is the case at the Bronco's, if that's what we are told is the case there, that said despite quite a few injuries to some of our players' we have still managed to win occasionally which is more than Mr Rea has done at the Bronco's, come the end of the season he may well be the one for us when he could bring in some new players of his own, but up till now he could not win a game with his own selection of players never mind somebody else's.

I'd bust a gut for Kieran Purtill at Giants. Will be a great coach and has serves his apprentaship as an assistant under jon Sharpe, nathan brown, Paul Anderson and a few others

Would you bust a gut for Iestyn Harris, unfortunately he seems to be having a tough time despite being coached by Noble and Wane, fwiw I'd hardly call that a recommendation being coached by Sharp.

It would be bonkers to pile pressure on the players all week by building this game up to the be all and end all of the season; it ruins their preparation for this game, and it creates a lull in the training and games that follow. Aside from that, what he says on the telly and what he says in private to the players will be totally different.

Overall, I wouldn't put too much stock in what coaches and players say in interviews these days; they all receive media training and will use variants of the same stock phrases in answer to most questions - aside from the occasional post-match slip of the tongue, when emotions are high and the training goes out the window, it's so much stuff and nonsense for the most part.

IF we were to change coach (I'm not necessarily in favour at this stage) then perhaps RA could move 'upstairs' and be in charge of player recruitment etc and the on field could be undertaken by one of our own (well nearly), a person who has plenty of coaching experience and was at our game on Sunday. I'm surprised that no one has mentioned him recently on this board.........
