No, we're lacking any idea when in the last 10. Leigh can do it, HKR can do it, they have no more quality.

Hull KR have Abdull, Parcell and Quinlan for the rest of the team to feed off.
We have no one anywhere near these three.

| Before Mopsy'Rocky'Hampshire bleats about the Chester record, remember it was Hampshire that cost 1 of Hull's tries. He doesn't bottle it, we have a much better chance. I also don't recall this 'Excellent' half back, who has been so successful at....Cas? No...Wigan? No...Wakey? No...maybe he actually isn't that good!

| We’ll have to say for all I’ve bagged their performances of late, apart from the schoolboy errors I really enjoyed the game and with a bit more composure could and should have come away with the points .Thought batch’s try was a cracker and something to put in our nal on a more regular basis ,as at the moment the more hands it goes through on the opposition line it usually ends up with a mistake .Green has his best game to date ,fifita ran in well and kelepi, Westerman was the standout player on the field .If the ref had given the right call for the shoulder charge on max I’m positive we’d have had our first win, as it is he didn’t ,we lost another good player and didn’t quite have the moves or legs to finish hull off .

Wow ! Trying to pin the blame on one player is almost a Chesteresque response.
If you think our problems are rooted in the performance of a single individual then you are deluded.
Our playing record and style speaks for itself.

I’m not sure why Hampshire has been brought up but I understand the sentiment.
It’s not Ryan’s fault it’s the fault of a small group of others making ludicrous claims about the lads ability, an ability he doesn’t possess and people get annoyed.
How can this poor lad ever match the over expectations placed on him by others,
Tragedy is it’s now too late for Ryan to fulfil his true potential imho whatever that may have been. His confidence is shot and maybe CC has to take some blame but he’s not alone, every coach he’s ever had has not seen in him what a few cheerleaders seem to.
Let the poor lad recover and let him just play, play without this stupid ignored genius tag around his neck.
If people can just leave him alone then there may be an Indian summer in this lad yet.

No panic though, it will all be fine.

| We have to face facts, even a reasonably prepared team would have beaten both Leeds and Hull based on their performances. I suppose we had better hope that the corner we are about to turn is not too far away.

| I might sit through the game again today just to check my recollections. We forced 3 maybe 4 drop outs, scored one try off a kick and Lyne almost got a touch on another kick. That's a big improvement on our usual last play kicking game so I need to check who stepped up.

| Just listened to the CC press conference and it must be a record – it only took 60 seconds for my blood to start boiling. “We’re getting as much as we can get out of this group” – he might of well have said ‘the team are full of triers but ultimately crap’ or ‘how am I supposed to work with this bunch of losers’. Well, guess what, CC, they weren’t crap 3 and 4 years ago when John Kear was holding your hand and you had two consecutive fifth place finishes. It’s become very clear to many of us who was ultimately responsible for the success of the team for which CC was happy to take credit a few years ago. However, when things have got tough following JK’s departure, it is remarkable how the nucleus of that successful team which brought CC the plaudits has suddenly become a set of talentless triers – no flies on CC is there.
God knows what the lads must think when they hear their coach basically calling them rubbish; it’s bloody disrespectful and does he honestly think it is going to motivate them. It just goes to prove how clueless he is and what a decent bunch of players we have when they put in a shift like last night. They turn up notwithstanding their coach constantly whining about them, complaining about the quality of the squad and blaming the absence of so and so player in order to try and deflect the blame and criticism from his own coaching shortcomings.
A good workman never blames his tools so CC should stop the bleating, roll up his sleeves and get on and do what he is paid to do. If he can’t sort out our attack in the next few games then for gods sake do the right thing and let someone else take over before it’s too late for the club and we get relegated.
He needs to take a leaf of the books of Watson, Powell, Kear and Ward who have all shown how to get teams playing rugby on limited resources. The squads that those guys inherited and have coached have had their fair share of injury woes and have not comprised many, if any, of CC’s so called ‘A’ players but they have nevertheless been competitive - and one of the main reasons for that is the structure and discipline that those coaches bring to both defence and, in the department which we are, and have been so clueless, attack.
I’ve said it on another thread and I’ll say again here, watch the best and replicate what they do. Nail the plays that break down defences in training and let’s see what happens come match day when those plays are put on in a structured system of attack. Just bring some structure to our attack and let’s see where it gets us – this team of players are perfectly capable of executing; it’s the coach who needs to stop whinging, pull his finger out and make sure that his team are prepared on match day.
