Will a new stadium really increase our crowds so much? Will they increase Salfords attendances? The main thing for me that will attract support is the produvt on the pitch. Whats Sheffield Eagles average since they were born? Always had comfortable surroundings but never had the support. Winning is the key, all of us on here (or the majority) will go regardless, but, its going to be a had job building up a new band of loyal supporters to add to the likes of us

We're better supported than Salford and Sheffield and yes a new stadium would increase our crowds. The new stadium would do more to increase our profile and support than it would for any other RL club look at Belle Vue FFS it's embarrassing its the worse ground in RL cas is bad but it 10 times better than Belle Vue. Like I said new ground and the club been operated like it has been for the last few weeks and our crowds will be fine

And thats a team unbeaten, top of the league and 10 pounds to get in very poor. So maybe our attendance wasn't that bad.

it annoys me at times when people go, oh look, warrington got a new stadium and look what it did for their crowds.

What they don't realise is that for the 12 months prior to us moving to the H&J, the club undertook a lot and i do mean a hell of a lot of community work. It was ridiculous how many school visits and things like that we did, to get the club out there and kids and parents onside, couple that with crowds being up with the last year at wilderspool so some of the floating support was making an effort and also we were having a good crack at the play offs, with graham appo destroying teams (you may remember a couple of beatings in that period)

It was more down to hard work than just expecting people to turn up.

I'll give him a fresh start his hands are tied. The effort is there but we all know we need to make signings. If we do sign some quality then that is when jk cam be scrutinised

We dont' sit on our backsides and do nothing. We have one of the best community programmes in the league and have had for a number of years. We have gone into schools for a long time.

approx 20 Dragons fans compared with around 5-700 Wire fans and the main problem we have is that you are a city,and we are just a small town in Wakefield.

yes that its a p1ss poor attendance from both club supporters so there are no clutching at straws as there

If say there was about 300 wire fans. Were about on par with core home support. I dare say if we'd have won say 3 out of 4 prior to Friday we would have been looking at over 6k which isn't bad for a sky game. Can't see the point in this cock measuring contest anyway. Cas fans gave always seemed to have had an obsession with crowds. Cas is a rugby mad town we all know that. Wakey is more soccer orientated but with changes being made and the club being run more professionally then there is the potential to tap in to the floating fans and also to being in new spectators. Times are hard at the moment for all fans, look at saints with 6k v quins although playing at the stobart won't help them admittedly but again that's due to costs travelling from at Helens to widnes. It's also like cas playing at belle cue and vice versa.

One factor is that the drifting fans will see Cas v Catalans as a less-glamorous spectacle than say Cas v Hull KR, which is more appealing.

Not denying the fact it was a poor attendance but there are certainly factors to take into consideration.

A lot of attendances across the league this year have been dire, the problem is most grounds are £20+ to get in...do they really think people can afford them prices on a luxury every other week, or 3 of the last 4 weeks for the Cas fans?
