If Senior still has it why did Leeds let him go. I'd have Senior in our team as I don't bin players until I have seen them play in our team, especially with our reputation for turning players around. However the money I'd be willing to pay Senior may be a little less than he's willing to take.

Yeah, he didn't excactly advertise himself well there, did he? I'm with you - a pension-funder, and no thanks. Save the money for 2 Seniors and bring in someone good... someone really, really good. Someone really really good now, not 5 years ago. Someone who could do a bit of stuff on the field that the fans would like to see. It's supposed to be entertainment.

JK ought to be forbidden from talking to any of his old chums until his own situation has been resolved, and given that Senior is struggling with his recovery, it seems unlikely that he'll have much to offer next season.

I'm with BigAl - we should be aiming higher and talking to players who are quality now, not only players who were quality for JK at some time in the last 10 years.

He signed a contract which was valid for both SL and the Championship, had Crusaders lost their franchise he would have been contractually obligated to play for them in the lower division.

The confusion has been caused by Crusaders voluntarily withdrawing from the Super League which probably wasn't covered in the contract and therefore it's not clear if it's still enforceable or nullified.

Senior was and probably is in the top 5 centres in the game. OK so he is knocking on a bit but I would rather have him playing for us, than against us. He is still a good bet and we could get a few seasons out of him. I think we should look to sign him on with a view to getting into our coaching staff long term

Be fair to the lad, JK spoke with him but could not offer him any assurances at all.The Crusaders were offering him the deal.So what would you do?Remember nobody was giving us a chance, agents, players, press and ourselves


Not saying I would go for him but look at Leeds form this year and they have definitely missed him on the field and a lot of their fans would agree with that.

Yes, IMO.
Therefore regardless of whatever people think of him he should be signed if he is available. He has been a great servant to the game and is still a very good strong centre.
His experience alone should count for something.

I just think that people are taking their own personal feeling towards him and it is clouding their judgement.
We are lacking in a number of areas on the field and as we start to re-build for next season, this could be a very quick win that could help us out and get us of to a good start.
