Indeed and for every one like that there will probably be a 100 decent fans.
Bradford were arrogant when they were at the top of the pile, just as Wigan fans often are now and Leeds fans used to be (before their reality check of last season) but, lets face it, we all start to follow a club, sometimes on a whim or, because we've gone to a game with friends etc and some stick with that club through thick and thin or, thin and thinner in our case.

In Bradfords circumstances, the rivalry stuff is just unnecessary.

They are in the mire (again) and may come through the other side but, those wanting them to disappear or drop even lower should have a quick look in the mirror.
Our plight wasn't exactly any better until MC steadied the ship.

Personally, I think that we should show a bit more class and wish them well

I think even you must know that there's more than one Bulls fan that as been on our forum with the arrogance that Cosmic refers to, whether they still watch them or not,there was plenty out there, I used to get it from parents when we went to watch the 16s there and that was well after their glory years so not much sympathy here, sorry.

I would expect that most, if not all, of Bradford's remaining fans are a decent lot. The dross will have jumped ship long ago.

We had a Bulls neighbour who used to jeer us when my Dad, brother and I walked to games. The guy always wore some sort of Bulls merchandise on. Apparently now though there's not a speck of Bulls stuff to be seen around his house.

There was a couple in our cul de sac who went in the Bulls glory days who still live there but for some reason haven't been for quite a while

Too right, but they will probably still have their chip on their shoulders. It happens at all clubs that have had past success, you've only to look at Wakey. In the CC semi there were faces I'd never seen before and after.

That's part of sport though and if we were lucky enough to gain a few along the way I would be delighted.

People like that winning feeling, it gives us a buzz, but those of us on here, for all clubs, see beyond that and can take more satisfaction from the wins having been through the mill along the way. I've been to many games where I've left happier than opposition fans even when we've lost as at least we've played well!

I dont get this Bradford hating stuff, and certainly not the wish to see them go out of existence. Bradford is a big brand, well known on a world stage, to wish them out of existence is to wish our entire game gone imo. We are a tiny sport, fighting for our very existence and with chips on our shoulders for good reasons when it comes to the media, but this is more akin to the Judaeans in Life of Brian, as the rest of the sporting world glances over its shoulder and watches us destroy ourselves!

The last thing I want to be seen as arrogant, and for me, not to recognise the place we have come from and the difficulties involved in keeping a club afloat, or finding suitable owners who know how to do that, would be arrogance - regardless of the stupid guy down the road in Wakey with his Bulls hat and his condescending looks when times were better.

Good luck to the Bulls, I hope you find a genuine owner who will spend within his or her means and keep RL alive and kicking in Bradford for many many years to come!

I've no doubt your right about some bulls fans' coming on here, some are just looking for an argument and some are just retaliating for things said against their club as do posters from this club do when we suffer harsh criticism, but my point is they're not all like that and I think you and one or two more on here think that all Bulls fans are guilty by association irrespective of whether they have access to a computer or not, I'm sure every club have that minority of fans.

Not saying all just more than folk wish to believe. The daughters future mother in law is a Bulls fan and goes to all home games and is one of those who understands what mess the club is in, the problem I believe is to get that " We are a big club " out of their heads and like someone posted earlier, start afresh , a bit like LUFC have been for many years.

As Wollo has said the glory boys will have deserted the bulls wholesale by now and the remaining fans will be the hardcore loyal ones who watch their club despite the troubles they are experiencing, and from reading the posts' on their board I don't think you'll find many if any that think they are still a big club, I'm not trying to change your opinion of a Bull's fan, if you've had problems with some of them in the past then fair enough, but for those that haven't it's difficult to assume that they're all as bad.

With reference to the challenge cup semi last season, it really was amazing the number of fans who 'came out of the woodwork'.Driving out of our estate there were folk all over displaying the colours. Normally when I walk to catch the bus I feel as if I'm the only fan in the area.Then continuing to the ground to get the coach ,it was similar all the way.Red,white n blue everywhere.A couple of successful seasons would hopefully persuade the missing 'fans' to return.

Wishing them nothing but good luck in securing a future with a new owner. The backroom staff, players and loyal fans must be in turmoil, wouldn't wish this on any RL club particularly at this time of year. RL would be poorer without Bradford and I hope they get some good news early in 2017.

Big club or not, the fact that Bulls have 60 plus off field staff plus 42 in the first team squad last season was the reason they ended up like they did. 100k per month wages bill is moronic by any standards for a Championship Club.

I have no problem with fair weather fans. People watch rugby to be entertained and it's not a cheap hobby. I can understand why people choose to go only when it's likely to be entertaining.

I suspect this is part of the reason why Hull KR have done so well on season ticket sales, and why Bradford did well at retaining fans the first year they dropped. People pay to be entertained, and going to a game on a Sunday knowing your team will do well and likely win is entertaining.

I don't think we're criticising fair weather fans. I'd love a couple thousand down at Belle Vue. The Bulls had, and probably only Wigan currently have, some real snooty arrogant gits.

Correct and we had this same bizarre conflict on another thread recently. It's those turncoats who were genuinely vindictive and seemed to take great pleasure in our various torments through the years we are on about. It's those few and its a small number who I don't want back under any circumstances, I really don't see why people are struggling with this concept. One is a potentially large group of ordinary if slightly fickle group of people who I'd love to see back at BV - the other is a tiny minority of ex supporters who's actions are detestable and would be in almost any circumstance.

Last year gave me some new-found respect for Leeds fans, although I do wonder how they'd fare if it was year on year.

Wigan have always had the advantage of being the most northerly superb league side, and they sweep up all the rugby league fans in Lancashire. St Helens get Merseyside. Warrington and Widnes scrap it out around the M56. Salford do Manchester. Wigan get the whole county of Lancashire to themselves, and a lot of their fans come from Preston and Chorley and the old cotton towns like Burnley. We should focus a lot on all points south.
