The problem is they would ping us, Salford still just about have that ‘new stadium’ shield that seems to protect other clubs.

We didn’t need to play last season it was our choice but fortunately without relegation it had little impact. I guess by playing the games we received additional funds from Sky who didn’t need to switch coverage.

No I doubt Chester had much influence on these games because the results during this period last season caused if a lot of difficulties for him. If you want to blame him that is up to you but I think you are being a little over critical.

The game had to play and fulfill its TV contract or get penalised. Wakefield suffered as bad as anyone if not more especially with isolating players. As an example I believe Pitts had to self isolate 5 times due to contacts he missed a load of games and never tested positive some of these withdrawals were at short notice causing disruption. For the greater good of the game the show had to go on as a club we paid more than our part.

The Round 12 Betfred Super League fixture between Salford Red Devils and Wakefield Trinity that was postponed this week under the game’s Covid-19 protocols, has been rearranged for Friday 16th July.
The match will kick off at 7:30pm, however the venue is yet to be confirmed due to pitch maintenance at the AJ Bell Stadium, meaning that our home ground is unavailable on the date of the match. Further information on the venue will be announced in due course, along with information on how to purchase tickets.
Refunds will be issued 3-10 days from the date of the original fixture for anyone who bought tickets.

It makes sense just to reverse home, away fixtures

In principle yes but in reality no. When it comes to our home fixture it's likely crowds will be bigger let Salford arrange the venue and limited crowd prior to the 19th

Perhaps the likely venue is Leigh, wouldn’t be the first time we’ve played Salford there.

Lets do what Leeds did for our 1st game this season. Play the game at Belle Vue but call it Salford's home fixture.

It was a Trinity home fixture, played at Leeds, the "technicalities" are irrelevant.

It couldn't be played at BV it's history move on should have beaten them anyway

The fixture we are now discussing can't be played at Salford so using Belle Vue is an option.

If it is played at BV, I wonder if WT season tickets would be valid.

Yeah, that's what I mean. Salford's home game played at BV. We still have our own home game to come. Highly unlikely but still an option.
