I am sorry to all you regular posters with 1000's of comments if you don't agree with my choice of coach but as usual you all profess to be right.If you want a qualified,competent coach who would it be considering the big hole we are in and it is getting deeper,new owner or not we are nl bound,we are not an attractine proposition to a coach or player at the moment.

Thats not how a forum works bud, you post an opinion - others challenge it. Just sulking and not offering anything in return to back your opinion when challenged up makes you look a bit daft and your argument look a bit paper thin.

I am not sulking just merely asking the question of who would want to coach wakey at the moment.JD could cut his teeth in nl with us,jowitt is doing fairly well at dewsbury,after a rocky start,and is now doing quite well.As you say it is my opinion.

Because Mariano simply isn't up to it yet from what i have seen, unlike Paul Johnson who i think has been a great spot.

re signing Utility players, the issue any coach would have at Wakefield is who wants to come here and also managing the quota, it's been a two horse race re the franchise for some time and currently it's a one horse one.

Most of the players signed in the off season if not all are on 1 year deals, so I am sure that there would have been some props with similar backgrounds as the utility backs he has signed that would have been willing to play for a year with us to prove they could hack SL with the hope of getting a better deal from someone else when we get the boot.

So why bother signing him?

Why bother putting him in the 19 man squad?

One would presume/hope JK looked at footage of the player and deemed him to be "up to it" before signing him.

One Andrew Kelly has some unfinished business at Wakefield Trinity and would come back if the job was offered.

He's still very much involved in the game coaching the Ireland international team and being development officer in the NE.

He's also just renewed all his coaching badges so current methodology and practices are well known to him.

Re Mariano, because there is nobody better in our current squad, which is sad but true....quite clearly JK wants to sign a prop but cannot and has not been able to for sometime..

Would you prefer him not to name a full 19?

What is the contract situation with the players we've brought in? Is Johnson and Mariano on our books or on loan. And and Vievers and Howarth on loan from wigan?

Ladies and gentlemen we have a winner. If Andy Kelly would take the job then I am firmly in the Kear out brigade. Should have been given the chance to do it his way the first time around.

They're all signed permanently as far as i'm aware, not that makes any differance should the club lose their license.

id have him back at least it was entertaining when he was here, not the dross were getting now.

We should never have got rid of Kelly and also we should never have got rid of Shane McNally. When McNally was in charge we were one of if not the most exciting team in the league to watch in terms of style of play, he had a bad start to a season and we got rid of him and replaced him with Tony Smith and look what happened there. Getting rid of McNally in my opinion was one of the worst decisions of the Richardson era.

Excellent point, we were the fittest team in the league back then as our 2nd half performances showed.

This would be the same conditioner Collin Sanctuary who was in charge of conditioning when we got our highest ever superleague position and our first home play off game.....jese get real...re Geoff evans...i think Mr Sanctuary would enjoy working with Domic, Solomona, Ellis, and JD etc....The players are not good enough...

Also Geoff said he was going back to Rockhampton and turned up at Huddersfield...just the kind of guy we need....

Your entitled to your opinion but Kear has had his time - we need a fresh approach - Kear can't work with Kids and thats all were likely to have left.

Wherever Geoff Evans he won't solve our problems, unless of course he's won the lottery after leaving Huddersfield and fancies blowing the lot on wakey...
