raleigh is average, but been played out of position by us at prop hes no prop, better in 2nd row but couldnt get in the team at 2nd row, was down the pecking order

As much as I like arron I think he would of found it hard getting in at centres this season with us signing colls and mellers am really looking forward to seeing them two! Arron would of been pushed on to the wing again I would of thought and let's be fair don't think he would of wanted that! So good luck to the lad not over excited by the two coming to us but they will be good squad players!!

Andy Raleigh is a tough as nails and will be a superb backrower for us should he stay injury free.

With regards Aaron Murphy time will tell how good he is! The word 'potential' doesn't mean he will definately progress like everyone suggests.

The majority of us want you to do one, so it looks like disappointment all round.

Murphy has gone get over it, no player is ever going to tell supporters he is leaving. As the press release says he could have gone at the beginning of the year during the time when the administrators were running the club, but he decided to stay and help his team mates and then go at the end of the season. He was offered a new contract and probably what the club thought was a fair amount. Huddersfield offered more and anyone with an ounce of sense (something you clearly lack) is going to take the better offer especially when they are only able to earn that kind of money for a limited time as a professional Rugby League Player.

Murphy is a good player but he is gone now and time will tell whether he can fulfil his potential.

A bit unfair - he's a young lad facing a short career; he can hardly be blamed for acting in his own best interests.

The real ambition should be that our club becomes sufficiently attractive and able to compete in the market place, such that we become a viable option in terms of the ability to attract and retain quality players; not that players agree to stay here on a reduced deal, out of a sense of loyalty. That's never going to happen and if you wish for it, you'll be persistently disappointed.

2 important points to remember the man that helped bring him through to first team level Pete Riding is now at the Giants and so is his younger brother. I would expect that both would be a draw.

Good bit of business for mine. Wakefield have got a lad who will run himself to water and go about his business quietly but very effectively in Raleigh. He gets some stick for not being flashy, but I played with him for a number of years in rep teams and whenever you need a runner and other forwards go missing Raleigh will be there willing to take it up, time and time again. Great engine on him.

I agree that the Cas PR machine backfired a bit on that one, but can you imagine if Broughy were still here and had just signed a long deal - we'd be shouting from the rooftops.

To be honest, I'd rather have ambitious players than loyal ones who profess their 'love' for the club. Though the ambitious ones may not stay for 10 years with the club at the level it currently is, you know they'll be trying all the time to show their abilities off. I'd rather have a year of two watching an Ellis or a Brough, than 10 years of Henderson.

There's no loyalty in RL, money talks. Hudds offering a better contract with better chance of international honours. It's a no brainer for any player.

I can't argue with that, it's just whilst in admin Murphy got elevated to some God like status by some posters on here for not doing a runner at the first opportunity. Wakefield doesn't obviously mean as much to him as was made out.

I'm looking forward to seeing Kirmond and Raleigh. I think our team is looking interesting for next season!
