One of the main problems with the george sampson visit was that he was surrounded by kids and press on the pitch so no one else could see. Yesterday worked great for me right down to the diversity lads walking round the pitch sighning stuff before the game started.

i would just like to say a massive well done to all involved yest. it was a fabulous day out.

i am pretty new to the game as my first match was when you held the ladies day, since then my daughter has joined kittens which is great and my son attends the activity session on a monday and wednesday night.

i think the people that work within the community and marketing and media department are a credit to the club!

Just shows the club is making a big effort and in this case its worked, get on board and sit tight, the Wildcats rollercoaster will roll on.

i wonder what they will put on next!

whatever it may be im sure it will be great going by the turn out from yest game.

The next home game is a guaranteed sell out so there is no need for pre-match/half time entertainment to pull the punters in.

oh but im sure it would be great for the crowd if they did put something on.

it may also bring new people into the game as well.

Yeah, but you can't do it every week, or you end up with sub-'Clubland' acts which add nothing to the event. Things like Diversity work for games where, more than likely, it won't be a big crowd....it's not something you need against Leeds at the like.

Spot on! I'm an old 'un - I'd only vaguely heard of Diversity and had no idea what they did - but five of us got in at 2:30 (just in time to see the ballet dancing teddy bear!!) and thoroughly enjoyed the whole build up to the game. The atmosphere was buzzing. The game itself was exciting for a fairly one sided affair and, as for Diversity, I loved 'em. Great day out, great entertainment.

Thought the club could have bled a little bit more media out of it with either Calendar or Look North covering it/them.
They could'nt say it was'nt newsworthy cos they had a tomato shaped as a duck on tonight.
Or maybe they could !!

i think some people on here need to use the forum for what it is meant to be used for as the girls worked really hard, which was shown on the match day and you disrespect them like that.

the girls are not toys and should not be treated like that and what i cant GET OVER is the fact that people treat them like pieces of meat when they are human beings that are good at what they do!

its people like that what discourage young girls such as my daughter to take part in dance!

I think what needs to be rememebered is that the most important part of the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, to most people, is the team put out on the field in Super League/Challenge Cup....the rest, most could take or leave. In the grand scheme of things, the Dolls/Kittens/whatever else are some pre-match fluff, winning or losing, competition points and progression are more important.

OK - this is an old thread and it would seem that everyone hads made their point now.
