Something about him training Stanningley as of next season and maybe because he supported them as a kid. Kallum at the moment wouldnt be good enough to become the number 3, well for a start hes proposed position is number 4. Shenton is the other name thats going round at Leeds at the moment.

At the moment the rumours at Leeds are that we are trying for Ryan and have just signed Pitts from you guys. However, these are just rumours pending announcements, as was Lee Smith leaving at the end of the season, when everyone on our board was going on about it since January.

Think Shenton would suit the Leeds style of play more than Atkins. Don't think Atkins has the pace. Don't think Shentons poor defense would matter as much in a Leeds team.

IMHO when I compare Atkins and Shenton over the last few seasons I always think Atkins comes out tops defense wise but Shenton in attack.

He's been poor most of the season, and he was poor last season.
I for one aren't bothered if he chooses to chase the Leeds dollar or anyone elses for that matter.
He will have to work a lot harder than he does for us to fill seniors boots!!!!!

I`m not convinced that Ryan is an out-and-out Centre, to me he looks more like a 2nd Row filling in, I`d be tempted to bring in a centre and let Ryan have a game or two in the pack, assuming he stays of course.

He may not be a Gidley or a Senior, but they are world class players. Ryan is not World Class, but he is a fine player who deserves a little more respect for his efforts and, to date, his loyalty to us.

I wouldn’t worry about TRB. Atkins, if he does go to Leeds next season, will suddenly become world class and questions will be raised as to why the club let him go.

atkins played very well against quins, my mom and whilst he has his flaws i'd rather have him here than leave. once again who do we get that is young and english to replace him with? answer, no f***er

agreed he did play well but these games are not often enough, ok the ball doesn't always come out, but he fails to come looking for it in my view anywhere near as often as a he ought to.
For some reason on here some people think he is untouchable and get personally upset by any negative comments about him, to these people I say grow up, take your blinkers off, accept he ain't half as good as you think he is, and don't burst into tears everytime something gets said about him!!!
To me he has all the ability in the world, he should be more of a threat than he is and that is down to laziness, his tackling can be iffy at times, but he could make up for that by Being a constant menace to our oppos defence, which I believe he fails to do.
Who do we replace him with if he goes, I don't know but it won't be the end of the world, well not for me anyway.

but that is exactly the point, he has to come looking for it inside to get teh ball where the traffic is too busty. Same as Petersen.

If Atkins played for Saints or Leeds his lack of centre play would not matter as he would be put on a one on one challenge more often and would make the break for Long, McGuire, Roby, Burrow to back up.

he still is and should be our "go to" man when we need a break or a try, there aren't many of them knocking about in SL. We would miss him dearly if he left.

We just need to find ways to get him 1v1 against his centre or the half back and he would create allsorts of problems but it never seems to happen. He has faults but he has far more positives going for him.

i think his defence is pretty solid (maybe some decision making errors) on the whole and those that say he has no pace is pretty lol.

conclusion: we should use him more effectively.

some of it is game plan, and martin has been playing at 6 a lot this season. think ryan is a great player on his day and will get better, a lot better. with the right coaching and a bit more ball

He coped well with big Eorl yesterday. Also, did you notice how many shudds players were in the tackle everytime he got the ball?

I meant when he was playing centre, but whoever is in that centre gets it more than atkins.

agreed on his day he is a good player, my complaint is that he doesn't have enough of them, therefore he is either underachieving or average.
