You can forget about signing any decent NL player, they are all under contract and would involve a transfer fee. Our best option is a loan player. If need be we should exchange for one of our play makers, in a month or so we will probably have more than we need, but at the same time we will be desperately short in the front row.

Maybe it's time to reconsider Huddersfield's offer of an exchange, a play maker for a prop (korkidas). I know Drew was involved in that potential deal and something that should be considered now we have 3 main props out and are counting on younger players that can't be expected to play week in week out without risking burn out just like in the last 2 years.

i dont think its a conditioning problem at all in fact the team look fitter and stronger than for a while so its just one of them things. we might not get anymore all season with a bit of luck.

up to this season i have not been a ricky fan but credit where credit is due he has been very good this season.i dont think there is no doubt we need to bring somone in on loan as our injurys in that postion are long term rather than short term,the problem is who is out there.i thought of the player who played at dewsbury last year (cant think of his name)and is now at hull i belive and i belive he aint playing at present ( could be wrong)and i am sure hull may be prepared to give him some game time elswhere

You could have a team with no injuries and be watching Warrington or Bradford. then you would have something to worry about.



you are doing well this season and even if you have a dip with a few injuries the spirit in the team will pick you up again.

Paul Prescott at Wigan doesn't seem to have had any game time this year. Could do a job for us for a few weeks.

I've had a look around and I can't see much in terms of a player that can come in and do a job straight away ie not a project player.

I think we have swept NL1/2 dry of those players in recent years. There are plenty with potential but that isn't what we need. Ditto SL, the only player with the experience who may be available is Griffin and yes I see the issues there. I noticed Azui?? at HKR was playing A Team last week so maybe but he is overseas anyway I believe.

Biggest problem is that we have already used the only two youngsters who are really ready and that is Bibb and Pitts, there really isn't anything left there.

If we could turn the clock back you would replace Winterstien with a prop - but IMHO the horse has bolted on that one.

Interesting. I watched that game last night too. Entertaining though it was, out of all the players on show for arguably the 2 top teams in the division, I couldn't pick one who I thought could do a stand-in job for us, which is what we really need at the moment.

I'm not saying with time you couldn't mould some of them into decent squad players, as you stated, but we need to find cover of the calibre of Dave Halley, a player on the fringes of 1st team rugby for a SL side, who could step in and do a job for us right now. A forward on the fringes of the Leeds team, perhaps, who the club wouldn't mind giving some game time and experience to? No names, just a thought.
