I must be getting soft because i keep agreeing with you. Yes I dont see a problem with the flats. The viewing is probably the best in the ground and the facilities are good. You are also right about sky and the media. A good solution would be to dedicate a couple of boxes to be converted to a sky studio and give them some nice facilities. Those boxes on the West side are terrible and I am suprised they are not being bull dozed while we have the machinery on site. No wonder putting the media in that monstrosity gets us bad press

Cant remember that one. But if my memory still holds, I am sure they were erected early 80'S well before the flats.
We ought to offer them as free garden rooms to the local population, buyer collects. They'd be gone by next week

Given that once upon a time there was quite a large stand there. It would have been interesting to see what the capacity was then, compared to what it is now

Just looked his profile up on wiki, it says that he was born in Kingston upon Hull.

We did seem to know more about the academy lads in those days. Snitch was labelled as being from Hull and I recall Chris Feather and Tommy Haughey being from Keighley.

The capacity after the redevelopment will by 7600? I thought that was roughly what we were already at anyway?

I believe that earlier this year, the council H&S reduced the capacity of the North Stand to 1500, therefore reducing the ground capacity to less than 6,000. The new terracing North Stand will increase the capacity back up to the 7600 mark.

I guess Ted was trying to increase their market value.

There was a period when one of the cabins on the west terrace was kitted out with tables and seating and used as extra viewing space.Entry was by steps at the back and a small bar was provided.It was a great spot to view the match through the windows on cold days, but,on the down side,most of the atmosphere from the terracing was lost.Then one day we were denied access by the stewards and told it had been handed to over to the ex players association, no explanation, nothing!

Agree and as I have said previously, I cant understand why some fans are moaning.
We are getting a new East Stand which is necessary
And an upgraded North Stand/
It really does boil my pi*s on here with some people.

If it were raining I wouldn’t go to headingly due to the lack of cover

I imagine many away fans would feel the same about the western terrace at Wakey

I totally get that mc and Jm are doing there best and I will back what ever they do
It’s a shame the north stand plans have changed but any improvement is very welcome

I just hope they can find away to do something with the west terrace

I'm not sure that the commentary team sit where the main camera is at all grounds. Many watch from other parts of the ground whilst receiving a live feed from the cameras on their monitors.

Looking at the plans, it appears that at BV the cameras will be on the west terrace but the media boxes (area) will be in the new East stand, So they will have a much better experience.

Would have thought that was impossible to be honest. Where could you put them?
