That is ceratinly an accountants decision if it is.
They must be quite a cost to be honest........not even including replacing the bulbs that have blown.
But equally, there are only a couple of home games at 3.00 before the Sunday afternoons are light again so still not sure on reasoning

Not at all. I'd be up for Saturday afternoon kick-offs during the football off-season.

1600 season ticket holders would say not, still that's the price you pay for picking up the phone when MC asked you to.

| 3pm would be better for me as I would fit in better with my train times, seems swings and roundabouts, some unfortunately will loose out some will gain, most on here seem to be better/not bothered

| Other than the odd individual who can't make this time for various reasons - it's basically irrelevant. For everyone who can't make it because of work will possibly have somebody to balance it who can now make it - but to be fair those who have bought season tickets on the strength of it being a 3:30pm KO and can no longer make it should be entitled to some comeback from the club. Can't see this being a great many people though to be honest.
Was it 3:30pm at us and Cas because of the change over in shifts down't pit?

| Quote ="kinleycat"My conclusion was that only one club in SL now kicks off at 3:30 pm on a Sunday, so by my reckoning we are falling into line, i take your point though.
On the subject as a wholemost people buy their STs without having a scooby doo how many Sunday, Monday, Friday or Saturday fixtures we are going to be dished out with on fixture day and thats before fixtures get messed around with by Sky, SL and the weather.
Its pretty much the nature of the game these days.'"
I havent seen one comment as yet that says "great i can attend more games" with a 3pm kick off,but we are seeing comments from people that can attend less games because of a 3pm kick off.
I bought my ticket based on roughly half the games would be played on a Sunday at 3.30pm,not 3pm.
Its much easier to retain an existing customer than it is to go out and find a new one, with this in mind for every customer Wakefield lose due to changing to 3pm - i dont believe they will replace them.
The club should have at least attempted to gauge an opinion, they havent,i feel let down. The least a supporter should have expected was to be aware of the facts and anticipated kick off times before they invested in a season ticket.

| When I purchased my season ticket it didn't say every home game would be Sunday at 3:30. Imaging if we had done what Leeds and a lot of other clubs have done and moved from Sunday afternoon to Fri nights ( which I think we should do) some on here would be having an heart attack with excitement of a good moan. 3pm Sun kick off let's get on board.

| Sorry, not reading through 5 pages of debate about shifting from 3:30 to 3:00 kick offs.
I'll just add, I'm a 40 year veteran, a traditionalist and it's not an issue for me, I can see it being a hit with away fans who have some distance to travel though and it brings us into line with other clubs, media etc

But there are people who will benefit i.e it will be better for, however i know thats not the same.
I feel like im being cornered into defending something that for some (i'm assuming you?) clearly is not a benefit, that wasn't/isn't my intention.
I (individualy) dont have a problem with it, for me it gets me out half an hour earlier and home half an hour earlier and I'm sure in the main that is the same for most (i'm guessing i haven't asked everyone) so if this decision was put out to consensus im pretty sure it would still have been passed.
If that means you (or anyone) cannot go now, i think you have every right to contact the club and air your grievence.
Just that for most (again, im guessing) it isn't a big deal in the great scheme of where we are and what we have been through.

That's fair enough. Like I said, it would have been easier to keep it as it is because how can anyone have a gripe with things staying the same? I'm curious as to the reason though, seeing as though it has made it harder for some people.

Some form of reasoning why may help placate a few of the critics. Whether it makes a difference to people or not to sneak a tweet out just after midnight, along with the release of the fixtures, with no explanation to why we have changed and also after no consultation is the wrong way to go about it in my opinion.

| Although I see the issue and am sympathetic to those that have work commitments, it does occur to me that if you buy your season ticket before the fixtures are announced you are always risking losing out.
Every time there is a game on Sky or around Easter, the home game will not be 3.30 on Sunday. You ahve no way of knowing which ones they are until the fixtures are released.
So buying early is a quite a risk if you are tied to particular times.

| The posting of the fixture does not effect the release or our intended playing time on a Sunday. With regards the gamble in buying a season ticket yes a match could be moved by Sky but you should be reasonably confident that home games on Sunday will be at 1530 with the exception of Leeds.
Why change it because by moving it back it can only result in some supporters not being able to attend. With regards those that don't care if we kicked off at 1500 hours why not move it to 1600hrs it is after all only 30 mins and will give those who can't make 3 time to get to the game.
We also virtually benefit from free radio coverage between 1630 and when our games end. This cannot be suddenly thrust upon the supporters they have had months to raise this question so do we know why?.

I would, pay on the gate when you can make it and sod em when you can't, its not like they need loyal upfront fans is it.
Don't listen to the "all right jacks" on here, they won't stand the lost revenue from you and others will they?

| It's nothing to do with moaning it is just common decency why should your fellow supporters suffer for something they were unaware of. I fear that the type of supporters we now have would make Margaret Thatcher proud, you will be turning up in red braces and shouting into a phone.
The board did not mention it at the meeting with the supporters it was not raised in the following months so yes people are entitled to be disenchanted and because the club broke the contract they are probably entitled to their money back. I would guess that unlike some on here they are probably more honourable and will try to work round this crazy and unnecessary change.
