Maybe that until the new owner has the written confirmation from the RFL the administrators can do what they want. Not good news for the club, he's always given his best and was one of the older heads in the team.

Been a decent player for us and his enthusiasm was never in doubt. Last year he was found out a little bit compared to the year before when he was outstandign but all in all we have been a better side with him on the park. Thanks for the effort and appreciate you playing well above your weight and repeatedly out your body on the line when your team mates didnt always do the same.

On a side note it says plenty about the game over here though when a player like this (honest as he is) can play for years and still command a 2 year contract with one of the "better" clubs in the league at 30 years plus.

Its ok ag saying it frees up a space for a front rower but now we dont have a scrum half at all as we didnt replace brough,wildie is not ready for a full season at sl level.Also thought millard was leaving to free up space on quota?

Absoloutly gutted.. Obst has been one of the stand out players of the squad since hes been here and the team will be lost without him.... just hope we have someone lined up to replace him.

What next? Fergie to Huddersfield and Murph to Hull. The biggest threat to this club is not the RFL and superleague franchise but a free for all assett stripping which leaves us unable to compete at any level.

Be interesting to see how the Hull fans take to him. If the majoirty see him as a direct replacement for Berrigan then they could turn on him pretty quick (ala Rodwell at Wire who signed when Langer left)

One of the many things re WT and the recent happenings that I don't understand is why have Hull signed Sam - nothing to do with his ability etc. Are there different rules regarding overseas players and the relevant paperwork criteria? We sign Smith from a fellow SL club and there is a delay in the necessary paperwork, result being that he can't currently play for us. Will there not be the same delay (months?) with regard to Sam pulling on a Hull shirt? Anyone got any ideas/views/knowledge ???
