Your sarcasm's wasted on me pet, just thought I'd clear a couple of points up though while I'm having a browse, first of all I am a Cas fan and proud of it, secondly I don't hate anybody least of all your vasty as your affection for him clearly shows with your pet name, I happen to believe he talks a lot of sense, I just have an issue with his bed side manners and find it hard to accept being labelled an inbred amongst other things.
Finally I never said this board was dead, but hey ho if it suits pet then you make it up as you go along.

You think you have a problem - I've been physically threatened at a match at least twice and only last week had a poster on here threatening me with physical violence should he/she 'bump into me at a game'!

A lot of people know who I am (wasn't the original intension tbh) and sometimes I pay the price - put simply there are a lot of people on here who can give it but can't take it and soon resort to genuinely aggressive behaviour.

I could and should have ended the 'Vastman' name years ago for my own safety but I just can't - why should I - my bedside manner may be poor and I do make posts I regret but at the end of the day I''m honest and I don't threaten anything other than peoples egos and boy do I take sone abuse in return. I have no snide secondary identities, no name changes and I still go to matches - genuine freedom of expression never comes cheap it seems.

If I'm the reason forums are dying then I can only say I'm amazed considering the appalling posts you find on un-moderated sites like Facebook, Twitter and of course the only semi moderated Cas forum where almost any lie goes unchallenged and true bullying is rife.

I don't know what browser you use mate, but if you use Google Chrome or Firefox like I'm using. You can go into add-ons in the options section, along the top of the browser window and download the AdBlock Plus or UBlock origin, under the get Add-ons section, you won't see anything like that.

Well I did try to offer a different opinion to the OP, and then you came on unsuccessfully with your interpretation of sarcasm to my post which was totally uncalled for as I'd made no reference to any individual which I did try to answer without causing offence yet you still could not handle it pet, so I can only assume that you don't like Cas fans or your determined to cause an argument.

I'm going to upset a lot of people here, but I met Vasty once. Seemed like a nice fellah.

Online debate is a different beast to face to face debate. Sometimes I agree with him. Sometimes I don't. That's the way it goes.

Any problems with the forum becoming less popular is due to social media. People get their news different ways than before. I check in on here mainly to find out what's going on with the ground. Sometimes rugby gets discussed. It's certainly less troublesome on here than on Twitter.

Everybody on here should be able to have a opinion without it turning into a personal battle- have a robust debate about the topic weather you agree or disagree but take the personal stuff out of it- most of time the very first post about a said topic is nothing to do with anyone on here personally- it just gets turned into it because somebody doesn't agree with a opinion!

I've met him at our SWAG meetings many a time and he's a good bloke, quite why he decided to become a mouse "Atila the Hun" goodness knows.

I haven't some people just seem to want to make me out that way. I'm no angel and I sometimes get it wrong but most of the time I'm right. If the way I express myself offends folk it's mostly not intended.

However some of those who complain the loudest should re- read some of there own posts because I'm sure they and there pals don't.

Face to face is totally different, it probably shouldn't be but it is.

The problem with this forum is that the structure makes it difficult for consistent moderation. It allowed Trolls and Wums to get into protracted discussions on other boards. Widnes, Cas, Salford, etc. have given up. I think we've done ok in keeping it clear. Hopefully, we don't feel the need to go hide in an echo chamber. It's much healthier on here.

I've read the AUP, so I'm not going to criticise the mods.


In fact, I think they do a great job under trying circumstances and their salary should be doubled

Very good point, in all seriousness that's the reason the Cas forum died IMO, due to the Moderators having had enough and leaving and the board was
pretty much unmoderated leaving it open to trolls and WUMS etc to ruin it.
It's a fine line between heavy moderation and non moderation but generally we do do OK on here.

Firstly I am a poster on here and secondly a Mod, otherwise there's no point me doing it as I have always enjoyed contributing to this forum.
It should pick up once the season nears, it's always a lot quieter in the off season.
