I would suggest we may have at least another 10 or so players to come in hopefully some of them will be first 13 players.

To save you and everyone time here is the up to date list for last years trinity players remaining not confirmed.
We have 15 players confirmed now. We need at least 25-30 so I expect another 10-15 signings. Some of which I would expect a couple of real quality additions to the starting 13.
The players with stats next to see who I would keep. I don’t maybe another 1/2 of the younger ones but I haven’t seen much of them.
A big rampaging prop, some pace on the edges would be welcome.
Lineham
Battye
Proctor - confirmed elsewhere.
Tanginoa *
Kershaw *
Smith - confirmed elsewhere
Lyne
Pratt *
Law
Windrow
Franco
Salabio - confirmed elsewhere
Langi
Bowes
Whitbread - signed elsewhere
Dagger - signed elsewhere
Fifita - retired
Butterworth
Eseh - confirmed elsewhere
Roberts
Smith *
There’s a couple of props about in Ben Nakubawaii and Rhys Kennedy with also maybe Dan Smith from Fev.
A few quality signings and we could really build a squad even capable of beating most of the SL teams if we meet them in the cup this season.

| Two players who I think would hugely add to trinity and I would really like us to try sign are Waqa Blake and Judah Rhimbu.
Rhimbu has a very Ipape style and build to him and Blake I think would be a classy signing too.
Rhimbu can play halfback or hooker too.
Blake can play wing or centre and has an impressive strike rate.
I really hope to see a couple of quality additions over the next few weeks coming in.
These above players would be ideal to sign with a view to SL after 2024 season.

| Get Rhys Kennedy signed on a 2 year deal. He reluctantly left Hull KR and was settled in the U.K. with his partner.
At 6 ft 6 and 17 1/2 stone he adds significant size to the pack and played well for KR.

| Looks like Doyle hasn’t signed then as of yet.
I would imagine there are a lot of discussions ongoing.
It’s a good foundation to start with so if we can sign a handful of quality players and add some solid SL experienced players and good young prospects we should be good to go.
Looking forward to seeing how it develops over this next 7-10 days.
I would imagine with these internationals been played there’s a lot of players to be looking at.

He would certainly be an option. A handful of quality players are needed and one of those should be a front row.
Ben Nakubawaii is another to be looked at as a front row option. Been there and done it with Leigh.

Yeah I've mentioned Waqa Blake earlier, he'd certainly add some spice to our attacking threat. he's got some wheels on him as well a couple of years ago he was timed as the 5th quickest player in the NRL. If we can get Walmsley as well that would certainly sort our lack of pace problem out to some degree.
Both these guys would do a good job down in Championship for us, in fact, if we signed both Big Ben and Rhys, for example, we'd certainly start to have an SL look to our side and the forwards would look formidable at that level but it's an ask to get them to drop down a division unless you chuck plenty of cash at them, or they can see what we're potentially building here and want to come for the ride.

The boost we have is that almost all teams have filled their quota. In a way it boosts our bargaining power as a club with a number still on the market.
That said it may take a bit of negotiating to get a few over the line but I hope they’ll see the benefit of signing for a club who are effectively a SL club in waiting and are investing strongly to challenge for everything in the championship.
I agree and I’d add Tanginoa to that list.
Tanginoa, Kennedy, Nakubawaii, Blake and Rimbu would be an absolute dream. I’d go far as to say it would make us pretty destructive.
My personal wish list to finish off the team would be (for a team of 27 + loan/DR). Obviously this is purely what I would like but if one can’t dream in pre season anticipating signings when can you I guess.
Tanginoa - second row
Luis Roberts - second row
Nakubawaii - prop
Kennedy - prop
Rimbu - hooker/halfback
Blake - centre/wing
Walmsley - wing
Dean - halfback
Pratt - centre
H. Smith - hooker
Kershaw - wing
Dual ref with Hudds - utilise Salabio/Hewitt when required. Or Wigan - they have some cracking fringe young players and reserve options if required.
Other players of interest could be Ava Seumafungai and Joey Lovadua.
If the above happened for me we would look like…
Jowitt
Walmsley
Blake
Thornley
McGillvray
Dean
Lino
Kennedy
Hood
Atoni
Griffin
Tanginoa
Pitts
Rhimbu
Bowden
Nakubawaii
Cozza
That squad would have size and speed and some incredibly good rotation options.
I guess we will have to see how it goes.

He made his England debut earlier in the year.
I think should he be available he would have plenty of options to remain in SL.

| It's just a case of managing expectation for me.
Nothing wrong in speculating about who might come to us, but let's not get upset if we end up with a championship challenging team rather than a SL winning team. We have to accept where we are.

Agreed.
Aspirational posts are great but sometimes we need to remind ourselves they are just that.
It’s uncanny how aspirational posts on this forum become solid links in the pubs and clubs and when they don’t materialise there is a sense of disappointment.

I think that a challenging championship team is all we are building at the moment hence the length of contract being offered to most, for this season only.
