Just got back, great show from the lads during in some difficult spells where we had a few players off the field.

Hate to find a negative but is anyone familiar with legislation surrounding passengers on coaches?

The lads will absolutely be thrilled with a win today and then the England equaliser/winner after a beer or two will have been a cherry on top for them but many of them on camera, out of their seats, others who were seated didn’t have seatbelts on.

It isn't against the law. Only advised.
You have to wear a seat belt if you are behind the driver.

A great defensive display, Barrow had a lot of ball close to our line but never really looked like scoring. A little note to DP must practice taking short kick offs, absolutely hopeless today, it could cost us down the line.

Barrow came with the game plan of hitting our forwards in numbers, but were running on empty after 20 mins. Thought our pack dominated and the conditions suited Tash, Hoody and Pittsy especially. A good team performance who had to deal with some, what seemed harsh decisions off the ref especially the sin bins. ( How Jerry was penalised for a head high shot when the player was about a foot off the ground ) Although as always I enjoyed going up to Cumbria.

Enjoyed the trip to Barrow although the score line doesn't reflect the game Barrow gave us. That said without 3 yellow cards we would have probably got more points. The swirling wind was a problem that Barrow used to the full with kick offs. Enjoying being on the road this season loving going to some really passionate rugby league areas

Given the 3 sin bins and Barrow's excellent use of the wind, especially from short kick offs, we defended superbly.
Barrow had a few chances to score but, we every time, the boys turned up for each other.

Sure we coughed up too much ball and didn't deal with those short kick offs but defence won the day.

Uele wa immense when he cam on and our back row grafted like hell.

Do we think any of the sin binnings will lead to suspension ?

Luke Bain maybe, he got binned for a late hit on a player.

Croft was binned I think for offside. (After a raft of Barrow penalties that were fortunate calls for them).

Bain - I didn’t see so not sure but appeared to be a late tackle.

Walmsley - thought he was unlucky. The last ditch tackle appeared to ride up and catch the head secondary so thought a sin bin was harsh. It was right where a group of Barrow fans were calling for a penalty or forward every tackle so that could have contributed.

There wasn’t much in the two I saw tbf.

Be nice just for 1 game not to be on wrong side of penalty count. Seems most week we get hammered with the whistle. Maybe the stats would show different if I knew where to find them.

Bain's was daft, he hit their halfback very late and didn't need to really - hopefully no suspension but wouldn't be surprised. I don't think Croft and Walmsley will get anything longer term.

...to also answer the questions from above, Max came off with right knee injury and had ice on his knee until the final whistle. Hopefully just a knock

Yes this is one of the things that has frustrated me this season ,as many I have witnessed seem to have been needless and avoidable. We need to get this out of our system as a team. In the Champinship it is not really hurting us, however in SL the opposition will really punish us if we don't smarten up our act

However, it was our aggression in defence that helped keep them to 0. It's a very fine line and the man in the middle did seem to like the sound of his whistle.

Didn't go to the game so can't really comment too much, but it seems a bit odd that in a game we won 36-0 we were the ones who had three players binned and were on a team warning. I don't recall either us or anyone else in Championship being put on a team warning, where refs have been more lenient with things like holding down etc
Perhaps Mr Griffiths was feeling lonely without a video ref to hold his hand

Was the mrp used for championship yesterday as not seen anything. It's usually on Thursday when superleague clubs are playing but thought when it wasn't they met to review all other divisions.

Bain received a one match ban for late contact, he will miss the Bradford game. Disappointingly poor by Bain, petulant foul, now missing for what is going to be a big game against Bradford, unless we have a reserve team fixture before then, which he can use to sit out his ban

On the plus side Pele also got the same ban so will miss out against us again unless they've got a reserve team game

This year it’s fine but with the new rules next season any shots above the armpit/mid chest are penalties players like Bain trying to put big shots on will really need to change their technique.

Any contact with jaw/neck etc next season I suspect will be an automatic red regardless so a lot of clubs will have huge focus on how that will change the defending in games. I suppose they’d need to hit at waist height or above and try wrap ball arm after (but not wrap the shoulder or that could be a penalty). Going to be messy.

To my original point though, it’s great to see Bain and Hood put shots on but next season they’ll need to lower them shots or we’ll be seeing players binned weekly. This doesn’t only apply to us ofcourse.
