I did think he had a shocker but the lads confidence was shot and evident by the way he let a kick almost stop on its own because he was so worried about making another mistake. This is the time to get behind him and the others. He and they know it's been a bad day with out us singling performances out as I think it was pretty poor all round. Not what I hoped for or expected but that's Super League I guess.

My point is that NGB4C has every right to have an opinion on players who he rates and does not as it is a public forum. The constant lambasting of him is quite frankly boring, and I for one would not be impressed at being called an idiot at belle vue if discussing players who I do not rate, so what is the difference if someone calls you an idiot for having an opinion on here.

I think NGB4C overreacts a little when a player makes a mistake. It wasn't Owen's day because of the cock up when he should have trapped the ball and was outjumped on the try but overall he's been ok these last few weeks and doesn't deserve bagging like that just for a couple of errors. We weren't at the races today for a combination of reasons and as a team just couldn't get it together.

They've thrashed better teams than WTW by more this season at home. They've spent to the salary cap and they're a quality team who should go far in the play offs if they get some consistency.

It took 3 to tackle Owen most time he ran the ball in. He's been ok so far but was below par as most were today.

Don't waste your energy Pat they are bullys most of them. Its not just one mistake I think Owens effort has been poor. Compared to Fox he hardly carries the ball, hes very good at pointing and not much else. He is a player who needs to give everything if not he will be in the national leagues. Well..I see there's an intelligent debate going on here. First 2 or 3 games I thought duffer get rid. I thought after the last couple of games, he is getting better. Look, I think he has been starved of games. To single him out tonight is very unfair. For example, Tim Smith had the kind of game that made me happy he went to Salford for 90k..but he has been great since he came back. My feeling was, we had an utter mare but we didn't utterly fold. I was fearing 60 points but we had guts in defence and hung in for a bit of pride on a bad day. I am not for big reactions after the spirit shown over the past few weeks. Catalans is a tough place to go on a roasting hot night

I suppose that you could argue about R Owen & P Fox aqll night but if you want to compare them on one game , well thats hardly fair. Where as someone could write that Owens picked up more winning pay than Foxy this season while playing for Wakey. Just for the record b4 someone opens up another old chestnut, I thought that D Washbrook was probably one of the better players on our side.

For me his positional play defensively is terrible and was caught out numerous times last night. not a fan of his so far although im not writing him off quite yet

I wasn't happy when we signed Owen but he's done ok over the last few weeks, well enough to get away with one game where he was poor but was by no means the only one.
Name 3 players who played better than their opposite number. I'm struggling to do so, in which case singling out one player just because you don't like him is akin to the bullying that NGB4C has accused others of.

It was Owen that clattered Escare in the first half causing the head injury wasn't it?

Not really a big fan of Riley. OK, he's filled a gap and "looks" to put in loads of effort but how many times does he actually break through a tackle, make a clean break on the outside or even take a high ball???
Not much difference between the two but I'd say Owen is potentially the better if he put in the same effort as Riley.

All this arguing about opinions. At the end of the day there is only one opinion that really matters and that is whoever is managing and picking the team. Every fan's opinion on here should be respected and debated, but should not descend into name calling, we are mainly adults are we not?
