I agree 100%. I think I will watch the match at home tomorow. At least I can get beer cheaper than £3 a pint and I will truely think after tomorows match about renewing my season ticket for next year.
I live in Methley and hope the new stadium is built, but looking at the games we have coming up (unless Cooke performs well tomorow, which I doubt) I think my support of the mighty trin will come to an end.

Most of that is true i'm afraid to say BUT what about the players that do want to play for us, the ones that bust a gut for us, maybe they are not world class but they give EVERYTHING they have for Trinity.
I'm miffed to say the least but i won't give up on these players, not this week or next week, while ever they make the effort I WILL SUPPORT THEM.

i believe it when i see it i dont think it will happen, infact it pains me to say we will not be sl ever again after next season and wouldnt be supprised if the club doesnt exist in five years time. i am going tomorrow for one reason only and that is to make my 7 year old happy as he wants to go.i have got to the point where i dont want to go cos i dont want to keep linning teds pocket, what ever people say bout new players coming in during the season the wage bill must be lower than what it was at the start of the season helped even more by the player where getting to replace tronc.
tomorrow will end in another defeat,we may play with a bit of effort for half hour or so but we simply dont have any quality players and once where a couple of scores down heads will drop, and has for p cooke there was only one person wanted him and that was our so called king kear

Over 25 years. Yes it has been a hard time, but recently, I don't know why, but I have seem to have lost the faith. I agree I should not give up on the other players that give there all every week, but something inside me recently has said enough is enough. I lost my job not so long back and struggle to get to the games which I enjoy, but I feel my money could be better spent elsewhere. Don't get me wrong I love watching trin and supporting them through the thick and thin, but there is something that tells me it may be time to give up. I lived in Outwood for 15 years and it was easy to watch trin, but where I live now I find it hard to get to the games and hard to find the 'get up and go' I used to have to follow my team.
Watching Cooke give a half d effort everytime he plays doesn't help. I have always gone to the matches where possible home and away, but I think I will struggle to convince myself next year (unless something special happens) to renew my long term season ticket.

'" I can hold my hand up for drifting away for a long time, having had the chance of playing for the at a young age I totally went the opposite way after having two injuries,
I even had Bill Ashurst try and tempt me back to the club when I saw him at our local, to no avail, then had ten plus years just reading about what the club did in the express
I then went through a divorce which made it financially impossible to even go,
but I have been lucky enough to turn it around and now I'm not going to let go at any costs, boy do I get some stick at work but Trin through and through,
I fear that if we lose many more fans we will lose the franchise through lack of support just at a time when when we need to be there for them, come the new stadium the phoenix will rise from the ashes its just a case of holding on
look at this another way you obviously enjoy watching rugby league, could you change alliance to another club

Dont get me wrong, I would never change alliance to another club and would always watch the trin, but it would only be on tv. I love the game of rugby and I am trin through and through. I have found another job and could if I wanted go and watch them, but I need something to 'pull' me to the games at the minute, and I don't see anything recently especially with the waste of skin Cooke, that will draw me to the games. I feel sorry for Wakefield because if they can't keep me ( a long term supporter) how can they pull in new crowds and keep them, especially in these hard times.
I feel the Leeds game was a great perfomance from the lads, and even though some players weren't there best they gave it their all.
Unless Cooke supprises me tomorow and leads the game which I think he was brought here to do, I don't see anything to pull in the big crowds of the past.

Cookie will not live up to the Hull FC days while he is unfit and that would have to change,
the Leeds game at Edinburgh was a long haul and having pre booked the hummer I hadn't much of a choice but go they played their heart which leads me to think that they could do it again against the Bulls which made the trek worth while,
Wakefield Trinity is a habit which is hard to give up, if there's anything to hang on to its your friends at the game, I have met some tremendous supporters all which have the same thoughts as you and me, but we still stand together and are ready for the next walk in support

Look mate I know how you are feeling as I've felt the same way since the departure of Brough and Tronc. After a really good feeling at the start of the season it seems to be all falling apart and I've had moments when I wonder if its all worth it and I could do better things with my time and money.
But I'm a Trinity fan, its in my blood. I've watched them man and boy for pushing 50 years and I've been pi**ed off many times in all those years but I am what I am, a Trinity fan, I always will be and for all my outbursts I will always support them.
The Club needs us to keep the faith in these difficult times and I urge you to do so. By all means be like me have a moan but never give up on them, if you are like me they are part of your life. Watching Trinity is worse than being an heroin addict - they can get you off heroin.
I may be wrong and I may be on my own on this but I do believe Cooke will come good. I think that when BJ is fit we will not look too bad provided BJ plays 6, Sam at 7, Cooke at 13 with Latu and Davy rotating at 9.
Please do not forsake us "Your Club Needs You"

I think it is a little more than that.
However, that said, anyone who watched the Europa soccer final, or indeed has followed it thro' the season, will recognise the feelings of those Fulham fans, who have NEVER EVER seen a trophy, and were almost wiped out of the Football League. Man U, Chelsea etc expect (need) silverware constantly. Their fans will never have the feeling those Cottagers had before the game on Wednesday.
This is the time supporters support. We can all be Rhinos etc living in another City. I see enough Rhinos/Bulls shirts/car stickers etc. around Wakefield. They haven't all moved here. (I have tho' and we both Support Trin)
Supporters are for ever, form is for now.

My problem is that I dont ever see myself attending another Trinity game.... unless they play a game in Australia....
and I can confirm...it is possible to support another club... [iUp, up Cronulla[/i.... and the pain of loss, poor performance and opposing fans up themselves, is exactly the same.
however the first love is the deepest and Trinity will always be at my core... I even set the pre-record facility on the digibox for Sunday night... cant decide if I watch the game as if it is live (not knowing the score) or to listen to the game tomorrow morning first....

For what is worth I would have preferred to see us keep young Southernwood until the end of the season and dropped him in at the deep end. If he could not cut it I could live with that but paying that big useless lazy lump Cooke is another matter
Wonder if we even considered Ben Black at Halifax for me a much better option
I will make the effort tonight one reason the Neil Fox collection the other I want us to get a franchise in 2012 so giving up now will not help
I have also talked my daughter into going
