Bibey has had his best season so far. Before he was going through the motions but I think he has done very well this season. Is this because his contract was running out?? Don't believe the RL express they said Atkins was off to Wire the other week !

I understand what people are saying and to be fair to Bibey he has had a better year THIS season, but i stand by what i say in that i dont think he is a super league player and am not bothered at all that is reported to be leaving!

I just dont belive how anybody can think he drives it in well, the guy almost stops before he meets anyone!

He doesn't 'stop' he slows down and starts to go to ground this is to enable him to be tackled on his knees and elbows thus enabling a quick play the ball. You would be complaining the other way if he went piling into the tackle and was forced back.

As to the question of Korki or Bibey has to be Bibey for overall consistency and value for money.

Not impressive enough for some folk sadly. They'd much rather have the odd barnstorming run and a few penalties thrown in but each to their own I guess.

I think he has improved this season but to be honest i think he is the weakest forward we have. Pro sport is a ruthless business - i reckon that JK has got it right in letting him go but i think it must be a difficult conversation to have with a bloke like Bibey who always seems to give his best effort, but as i said it is a ruthless business.

No one has mentioned that he is from Leigh. Although it is dropping down a division, the lure of his hometown club and being closer to family (or driving less) could be a huge factor.

I think this is where there's no poitn debating Korkidas vs. Bibey because the lines between the two are so clearly drawn, there's no way any other side will see sense!

think we are missing at least one point here, that it actually smacks of leigh making one last attmept to rescue any hope of a sl franchise next time round. and yes they could have made it very tempting to a home town boy. And i wish him luck but do not wish us to match silly bids from other clubs.

to me its vfm and no coach does it better than kear, the korki debate does not enter in to it, korki again is vfm if he brings the pssion hes shown since his return and his presence round the place, not just on the pitch, the club has lifted again since his return so if price is right id give him a 1 year rolling deal, reasonable cash, huge win bonusses.

I based calling you an idiot on your opinion that Bibey is 'useless' and an 'ornament'. If you think it is acceptable to describe people/players in this way don't be surprised if you yourself are described in such a way.

I do also disagree with the opinion that Bibey is not good enough for the squad.

Are we 'letting him go'? Are we letting Snitch go? Are we letting Grix go? Are we letting Wilkes go? Or are they being offered better deals financially/length of contract/location by other clubs?

It is not impossible to not want to see a player leave but still have faith in John Kear.

Im confused! I thought we were talking about Bibey because 'someone in the know' has said he is going. Your right we dont know either way as per Snitch etc.

I thought the general assumption was that he is going and on that basis if we wanted to keep him we would offer a better deal than he is being offered in a lower league would we not. Is that not how it works?

Someones worth is defined by what people will pay them (per annum and over a contract lenghth ie 3 years etc) They must value him more than us or he must really value the location as opposed to top flight rugby however I cant see the latter.

That is my opinion from watching him as a player and what he contributes to the team as a professional sportsman. I feel he offers very little at this elite level and his skills will be well suited to the lower leagues!

Supporters are obviously divided on this one, but there are not too many other coaches in super league jumping at the opportunity to sign Mr Bibey. That in itself suggests he is not good enough and i for one am glad you are not the coach J.T!

Not going into details here - but some players have been offered new deals and some have not. Of those that have been offered deals, some have accepted them and others have not. Not all details have been released as of yet - for whatever.

Be careful in assuming that a player may or may not have been offered a new deal. I believe the reason for retaining the information is to do with this relating to next season - when there is a big prize available this season which we need to keep focus on.

The point was that all the players I mentioned including Bibey have according to those 'in the know' been offered better contracts from other clubs. This does not mean the club are letting them go they have just been offered better terms elsewhere regardless of which team is making the offer. As to Bibey a 3 year contract with his hometown club on a decent wage as they push for a SL licence might be very attractive indeed.
