We've just got our set of fixtures for the next 2 months.

Can anyone tell me if Milford Marins & Methley Warriors have under 8's teams, as we're due to play them in a few weeks along with Crigglestone AB who no longer have an under 8's team.

Not sure if any of the local teams get to play sides from Huddersfield, but if you ever get the chance to see Moldgreen U-13's you will see in my oponion the brightest young talent in rugby league. Worth going to see them if you have nothing on, on a Sunday morning. The lad is called Jarrod Simpson, Roger Simpsons lad, unbelievable talent and a joy to watch, the kid has it all.

Tried for years to get games v Hudds/Halifax sides and the leagues always stopped us. Gateshead are in your leagues mate, not been up there yet.


Heard about Jarrod Simpson but never seen him Jonh.

Jordan Harper he's a good lad from normy, in fact they have a few good lads in that team.

Jordan used to be with Trinity, think he is now with Leeds Scholarship. Jarred is something else though in my opinion. Jordan uses his size to his advantage, and while Jarrod is tall he is quite lean but has pace to burn, vision and fantastic footwork. He is also very physical, considering he is so lean every hit is a big one. Went to watch him a few weeks ago he scored 5 tries every one highlighted a different quality. Reminded me of a young Greg Inglis and while i appreciate that is a big wrap, if anyone goes to watch him i am sure they will agree.

Sounds like a quallity talent and one i'll look forward to seeing play.

Sorry did not mean to come across slating Jordan as he is a very good lad too and has the potential to be a very good player, certainly a stand out in his age group.

All these kids are very young and as i am sure you know anything can happen over the next 4/5 years that may see them go as players in several different directions.

Oh yes, some will and some won't for reasons we'll never know.

Big Day At Crofton Cougars. Wakefield Cup Finals.

Biggest game of the day will be the U18's game between Normanton Knights and Stanley Rangers. It ko's at around 3pm.

The 15's and 17's finals are also on, with the first game kicking off at 12.00, and the weather promises to be good.

17's kick off at 1.30.
