This could be a long hard season

Well, it's the first match. We can forgive a rusty start I suppose. But that was a very concerning performance

I think we can at least help with our defence out wide at home and that is to move the touch line in by 10 metres down each side and see if that helps if not keep moving in by 5 metres after each game.

How we expect to compete with a 37 year old scrum half who is clearly past it, combined with a stand off who couldn’t unlock a mobile phone never mind a defence. Our preseason has been an absolute shambles. This performance has been an absolute disgrace, and not an over reaction at that. I am absolutely fuming.

Funny when I asked the question in the friendly’ s about lack of moves people told me on here we were keeping our powder dry and keeping them under wraps for the league. Could someone please let Chester know to unlock the powder room or we’ve a very long hard season in front of us .

Does that land on the coaches feet or the half backs mopsey ,I know it’s only one game but the lack of creativity is a worry .

It’s not just the one game it’s been the majority of last season.

Two tubs of lard Wilzay, both of which outplayed ours, and when one of them was available 18 months ago, and I mentioned the name in passing, got laughed at.

It was mentioned earlier, on another thread, about us looking to add to our squad further, with our first choice 6/7 so bad, which they are, maybe we should be looking at, or should have strengthening there.

A long way to go,but the early signs don’t look good

the coach the system we play is to the posts one side or other behind the man, brough is simply too slow the opposing defence no he can’t run he passes easy to defend, miller is getting the same play through each other and run onto the ball at pace. We make an easy game look hard we play the most boring rugby I’ve seen down there in years. When you’ve got pace like Tom rocky bill lynn create them space and use the ball.

I just can’t understand why we’d play Hampshire in the halves all pre season, then stick him at fullback when Max is in the 21 man squad, then play Miller who hasn’t played since last year. I just do not get it.

Brough done his ACL? Guess we'll get that change at HB, and if true Brough will unlikely play again.

Could go with Miller and Hampshire, with one of the Woods backing up, if so.

Though it's a long season. Would certainly look at bringing someone in.

If that is true then that’s terrible news for the man, and a terrible way to end an excellent career. Though like with Johnstone and Arona contingency plans will have to be made

If that’s true we can’t use broughy as an excuse anymore ,will have to go with Hampshire and miller Or could we bring back escare on loan as I see he didn’t feature for Wigan again
