I agree with most of what you say here and you may be right about the honesty issue but comments from some on this subject are out of order. MC has,I believeplayed a master stroke in appointing KH,and as far as I am concerned the financial side will be in the best interests of the club,otherwise he wouldn´t have appointed her. I honestly cannot believe some of this issues questioned on here

I totally agree with you - it's a very astute bit of work by the new BoD to get her involved, no doubt about that. I just wouldn't have publicised the fact that she'd declined to invest, nor would I have described her remuneration as a pittance.

The one sure thing is that Mrs H must be "happy" with her remuneration or, surely she wouldn't have come on board.
The "pittance" comment is probably more to try and indicate to others that she perhaps isn't getting a fortune which, in difficult times and when others may have lost their jobs, wouldn't look too great.
As I mentioned elsewhere, a good consultant is worth their weight in gold, so lets hope that everyone is on a winner !

I have absolutely no problem with being told exactly how it is. It will make the decisions that will have to made by those in charge in the next couple of weeks or so easier to understand.

I for one i am glad we have two people running the club that can tell it how it is, that takes guts, honesty and a lack of ego.
IF we are in a position where further player sales are needed because of lack of funds then we cannot claim to be surprised, because it hasnt been powder coated in fluffyness in a desperate clamour to win a vanity competition.
At some point good news has to come in order for the club to progress but im happy for it to come from a platform based on fact and frankness.

As ever, it comes down to a discussion based on absolutes when in reality, that isn't what anyone has asked for; I'd suggest that there are many ways to communicate the situation that sit comfortably in between brutal truth and powder coated fluffiness.

it would be good to get official updates off Daddycool, on a weekly basis to keep all fans in the loop. this could be a way of saying things are going in the right direction or brace for the bad news..

I don't mind getting updates from the club via the official website, but I now think its time for Daddycool to stop posting on here.

I am not sure if Daddy cools foolish or brave to post, I tend to have more interest in his posts than others. Only time will tell.
Daddy do you remember Les Ayres who used to be involved in the club quite some time ago. He went in to race horse training and now lives in spain I think. He put some money in to the club and always had an interest in the Trin.

Trust me there is no chance of Les Eyre ever being involved with trinity ever again as he is still owed thousands from the last time he was there

I'm torn on the Daddy Cool thing.
He's free to post just the same as anyone else, and it is good to get direct information like we are getting now.
It just makes me feel like he opens us up to the more "Challenged" supporters from other teams like the recent Salford trail. We have some as well that will start once the season is under way.
Of course it's up to Mr C but if it were me, I'd post anonymously.

I feel sure Les is not owed any money, he left on very good terms. He was unable to get the support he wanted at the time.

I think he is doing good by coming up on here. But any news and updates seem to be few and far between.

It would be interesting to see how much of the £400,000 that is still needed.
The club needed this money "in the next couple of months" and that was beginning of September.

I can assure you Les is still owed a lot of money and has written it off as he says there is a fat chance of ever getting it back. He was offered a lifetime season ticket as payment which was a joke as at the time he would have needed to live to be about 300 to come out even.

Bit odd this one

1) this was a very long time ago and under another administration which went out of business... If he was owed, he would be on the creditors list, and dealt with through due process.

2) any money put into a rugby club is lost... always was... always will be! If you put money into a club with any hope of getting it back, you are either naieve or stupid!

Me neither. But if I know then everyone else knows as well and that's where the problem lies

He was neither stupid or naive, just realised the club couldn't afford to pay him back so rather than put the club in more strife just left it and walked away
