Yet despite this (and us finishing 2nd bottom of SL) we still averaged 2k more than Salford per game last

The new Stadium is all you have over us, but I'm not going to diss Salford much as overall they are a cracking club

£10 tickets and under 16's free wasn't it. Only way you'll get close to 10K again in your council built ground is if uncle John funds all the tickets himself.

You cant prove it because you know it isn't true, there were probably about 500 -1,000 fans from other clubs. So say 9,000 Salford fans still a good achievement, What does it matter weather they attend Old Trafford or not? I go every Salford game and about 20 of the lads who go home and away at Salford attend Old Trafford as well what's your point? The only reason they don't come back is because like you said we get thrashed every time we get a big attendance but hopefully when we move this wont be the case.

As for the game, it was only losing Boyle to the sin bin later on that made the score line so lob sided.

I suppose the 300k loan the council gave to Salford helped on that score.

Let’s hope the new stadium encourages the majority of that 10K crowd to become regulars. With a healthy home crowd and the natural increase in away support (although Friday night KO’s may hinder that), Salford should be pulling in a larger average than Wakefield while they are still at BV.

Wakefield is a CITY, Salford is a small town.

And with average attendance almost 40% better than Salfords perhaps he should think about what he is saying.

It is actually a city, I'm not having a dig because Wakefield is hardly LA but it's hard to see how.

The only thing that baffles me is how on earth when you are giving away season passes for good value for money you cannot or are struggling to get a mere 2500 Pass Holders..the club are trying to bring in better calibre players a new coach etc and the wakefield fans thank them by sticking two fingers up at them.

Only if historically we've sold loads of ST's - which we haven't. One of the weakest aspects of the club has been the numbers of ST holders, and this is the first attempt by the current regime to address that fact, with 2,500 being a good starting point for us.

We've managed close to 7k averages based on a few hundred ST's, but each club has it's own unique set of challenges and this is how we're handling ours!

If you are averaging 7k a match then its even worse that fans wont pay a little to pledged there support for the next season.

I remember back when we played Hull FC in the semi final, the reasoning behind Hull getting 66% of the tickets available at the keepmoat was because Trinity had a very small percentage of ST holders.

Historically we've always had very low numbers of ST holders and generally a large % pay on the gate. I couldn't answer why, but it does seem under AG that this is now being addressed and as a first attempt getting 2,500 so far with at least 4 months before the start of the season is quite good going for a side that averages 6,500.

Yes - we will average around 7k next year, and that will be with whatever ST sales we achieve.

You have enough worries about drumming up the rent for next year without bothering about us!

The Wakefield public are tight its not our problem the people who go to the games is it? 2500 is a very good starting point for us and I think our attendence average will be a better next season than for quite some time.

Unless you can provide a link proving Matt's comments i would refrain from slating us, and FWIW ive always liked trinity
