That is a strong 17 considering the players Salford lost in the close season. Wigan's scoreline last week was misleading with a lot of basketball tries.

I fancy us to win this but expect a close game.

Have to be honest I agree. I reckon on any other given day half of Wigans tries wouldn't have happened. They rode their luck and all credit to them but it wasn't a fair reflection on Salford.

I agree. We'll need to improve on last week to get a win.

Think we have to be careful not to start believing our own hype again, Salford are a dangerous side and have decent strike all over the place. Cut out the lazy pens, get a decent completion rate and we should have enough but need the leaders to keep our feet on the ground.

Indeed, if we play to our potential we will be far to strong for them but get complacent and they could spank us. We know this because that's exactly what we used to do.

We are not the underdogs anymore so a new mindset is required because people now raise their game for us. It's a compliment but it comes with strings attached.

I think we will do 'em easily. Better in the forwards, better in the backs. IMO of course.....

You can wrap the Wigan victory up however you like - Fact is Salford were absolutely dreadful all throughout the game and were lucky Wigan only put 40 past them. They would have to improve drastically and Wakefield be off there game, unlikely but we know it can happen. Just dont see it myself.

A win is a win but our line speed at times in the second half was very slow and Salford made easy yards and their half backs were allowed too much freedom.

It’s early season and conditions weren’t great but I was surprised how well Salford kept going in the second half given they had to do a lot of defending in the first.

Nah we were nowhere near our best but at this stage of the season, while the teams are still trying to hit their straps, I'll take it. For me, we should have been further ahead at halftime if we'd have been a little bit slicker in attack but as Tricky says conditions weren't great. CC won't be happy with the Lui try where he went in untouched and Pauli will be gutted he couldn't have gone over. Great tackle by Grixy on the Salford wing near the end of the game though. Again much to work on, personally, I can't wait till the weather picks up not just cause it's freezing but I think that's' when we'll see the best from the side. I thought we'd have a bit of a field day down their flanks but their defense seemed to have improved massively compared to the Wigan highlights I saw.

The defence on our left edge was very worrying.

At least we held on under pressure when we weren't at our best.

I don't know about that, we were better in the first half and like I said above should have put more points on them and they had the better of it in the second generally. It wasn't like the Leeds game yesterday imo where Hull KR was generally the better team most of the game apart from when Leeds scored. I'd personally say we just about deserved the win.
