Yep we know and virtually every one of your local correspondent reports through the years has been pants IMO. You used to post using a different name if I recall.
As for living in Cronulla - so what. Nearly all of us live in Wakefield and you'll struggle to find two sets of opinions that are the same or that matter.
You're entitled to your opinion but you're not entitled to dress it up as expert knowledge because it isn't and that definitely applies to Fifita.
I suggest you just enjoy the sun and leave the worrying to those of us who actually pay the wages and we'll let you know if you were right

I couldn't be bothered to go back more than two weeks in your posts but you gave an opinion on the quality of Finn's kicking game on Sunday and how in the month prior to the Hull KR game Johnstone had been ordinary for a month, as well as giving an opinion on Jowitt's ability under the high ball.
You are either very good at giving opinions based on little evidence or else you don't live in Cronulla.
Just saying. Cheers cobber!

I think you might be mistaking this joker for memories of me!
I stopped posting a few years ago after emigrating ( I lived in Sutherland and was a member at Cronulla for a few years before we moved down the coast to Wollongong) you and I have had our differences in the past, and, quite frankly we still would if I posted regularly. However I do not know this chap and did not come across him during my time in the shire.
Fwiw I am a big fan of Fifita... Had it not been for an infection which caused hospitalisation I think he would have had far more NRL game time.
This season he played six games for Newtown in NSW league ... Four of those were a late inclusion because he was 18th man in first grade and on two occasions he was selected in the team of the week for the league... On his first grade appearances he aquitted him self very well and it for an uncanny run of injury free games would have had more opportunity. He also played very well in the Tonga team and in the pre season games including indigenous all stars team. This is a top signing fortrinity... Enjoy !
I am actually stunned that the sharks released him
Ps Anthony Tupou as been steady so far ... What out when he starts to play well ... He is one of my favourite all time players
Having cleared up your misplaced vilification I'll sod off again...

Just on Tupou.
He’s been a real enigma. No one can say he’s played badly and he seems to give 100% so it’s hard to criticise. Yet apart from a few flashes of greatness he has done nothing special either.
I suppose I expected him to dominate games yet he’s frankly playing second fiddle to both Kirmond and Ashurst and I certainly didn’t expect that.
As I’ve stated before the really odd thing is that there has been zero sign of his famed off loading game, the one part of his game I’d have thought would have been the easiest to achieve. We back up quite well and Ashurst in particular has got a few good ones away.
I really hope he finds his form and in his defence has an injury free run (an area where he has had no luck) because now’s the time for him to shine.

Tupou is a special player ... Not in solomona mould though... I don't think it's a fluke that the team have a winning mentality with him in the squad

| Ashurst has been a revelation - he hardly puts a foot wrong and seems to run the lines that Kirmo used to, but can't any more.
I think Tupou started to show his quality, but hasn't been the same since he needed a gobful of stitches; still hoping he'll find his form - looked like a mini Big Ali for a few games, and could still get that back.

Didn't have the best of games to say the least but I think that personally he was trying too hard to impress and was a bit too hyped up.
I think there is a player there though, he did a couple of big runs and even when he wasnt breaking tackles it took a minimum 3 leads players to bring him down and on 1 occasion 5.

| Yes, I think if anything, he was trying too hard.
Two things also to remember, it has been a while since he played and was probably very eager and also the weather conditions weren't really on for bringing in a massive offload game.
He wasn't the only forward that coughed up possession on either side. One difference being when Leeds coughed up possession, they looked up at Child and more often than not got a penalty from it.
Me main head against a brick wall moment from him was his sideways run into touch, but even during that run, he handed about 4 players off. I think more than anything there it was mis communication from him and centre/winger on the left.

| From the good things I saw on Friday I think he will be a revelation for us, arguably one of the best overseas signings we will see in our colours.
For his first stint, considering he may have needed the run...he took more carries than anyone else in our side and made more metres...he continually drew in 3 or 4 defenders and for a big lad got a superbly quick play the ball...when we learn to play off him he could be devastating for us...
The errors I can forgive because he was heavily involved and the conditions were poor...he clearly got frustrated and again I can forgive that...he was easily our most dangerous forward and played in probably the most dominated pack I've seen this season...Leeds pack making over 900 metres in the game while ours was in the 400's...what we missed was leadership in the middle, an old head at times to have a word and settle him down...missing Kirmond, Scruton and Tupou though we didn't have that experience and leadership up front...
Will be a great signing for us once he settles in...no doubt about it!

| Fatfeeti had a terrible game, knocked on several times, showed complete lack of Rugby brains when trying to offload on our own line on the first tackle, in the rain when we had just defended our line for three sets, ran sideways most of the time, poor discipline , backed in to contact. He looks like a big girls blouse to me played about 5 stone under his weight.
Coaching staff need to show him tapes of Simon and Anakin running the ball in hard and straight thats all he needs to do.

I totally agree with your points but especially the part saying when we learn to play of him. He continually drew 3 and more players so this will create the gaps for the quicker men to exploit and with better conditions ahead his offloads should come off. I really did think he tried to hard in conditions not suitable but I am looking forward to seeing him again.

Wasn't there on friday away on holiday - was he really that bad ? as this seems to contradict some of the other posters on here ?
Have heard he may have an injury that may keep him out thursday - which could leave us very short of forwards - am hoping that Kirmond and /or tupou are available as without them we have lacked a leader in the pack.

| It was a perfect storm - a big, aggressive, enforcer type prop, trying to make his mark in a new team; comes up against awful conditions and James Child, who loves the sound of his own whistle.
Feel for the bloke - he'll be filthy on himself, as I believe they say in Aus; or spewing, as Mr Kear said after the controversial Mr Cobb denied Batley a big win over Bradford.

1 it wasn't on our line it was at least 20 meters out 2 that was the only time he run sideways 3 it was taking 4-5 players to bring him down so hardly running under is weight 4 England dropped the ball more times then him 5 i never seen him back into contact once so if your going to bag someone at least tell the truth

There's a difference between calling it as it was and calling a player names from a laptop in your mums back bedroom.

I've just got back from a holiday in Australia and whilst there spoke to a couple of rugby league supporters about us signing David Fifita and they both said that they thought he would go well in England and is a decent signing and once he's up to speed would probably go well.
No guarantees I know but it's just another opinion to counter yours.
