| Congrats on a huge win, something we struggle to do is beat leeds so it is no mean feat to achieve that, great to see Richie Owen playing well, I did say he would be a good signing for you!! Webster has totally transformed you lot. Good to see

| Wouldn't it be great if we got to play offs and we met you guys in the first play off.
Anyway don't think we'll get into them. I am happy for us to not get in and build next season. Hope the team play like this for the rest of the year!

| Can't believe my ears with this commentary, now we were lucky to get Wigan just at the right time and we were lucky tonight to get Leeds at the right time.
FFS Eddie, will you ever credit Wakefield with anything.

| Anyone who wants to see how much the team is bonding and enjoying the ride with Webster should look up Scott Anderson on Twitter. Great photo of team after game.

His impact from the bench along with Tautai and Moore make our ruck so much quicker and we get on the front foot.

| My jinx continues - I was working away and didn't get home in time to go the match, so watched it on Sky. You can credit Webster all you like, but we haven't dropped a point since I've been unable to go!
Cracking performance by the whole team I thought - our defensive structure looks good, our tackling has improved and we're suddenly a lot more composed in attack; it's an amazing turnaround!
Scruton has become a bulldozer, Mathers is on fire, Owen has woken up and Reece Lyne is like a different kid - made another couple of try-saving tackles in defence and took on his opposite number several times with the ball in hand.
On a sour note - what the hell was Bailey doing flipping Godinet over when he was injured? And why wasn't he penalised for it? And how did that Webster kid get away with old-manning the ref with repeated ball-steals?

| Good to see the fraud Ryan Bailey being his yellow backed idiotic self when rolling over an injured Godinet who had to leave the stadium with his leg in a brace and on crutches.
What a Dick Bailey is!

| Disgraceful comments from the sky presenters , was sick of hearing how many players Leeds had missing, what about ours ?? No Collis, Lauititi, Anderson, Kirmond. Just how many internationals do Leeds need to win poor old Wakey ?? All Eddie could say was how lucky we have been to play Wigan and Leeds "at the right time"

| On the Sky issue - does anyone know how old Jamie Peacock is? I don't think they mentioned it 27 times.

"This is what a champion team do, they win when they're not playing well"
He couldn't contain himself when it looked like McGuire had won the game for Leeds
He then had the temerity to accuse Phill Clark of sounding like a Wakefield fan for saying Hall had knocked it on.

| Absolutely gutted to have missed out on that tonight, flaming Friday nights what a killer! And to top it all, Jack in the box comes to where I'm working after the game just to rub it in. Well done Trinity, am proud of ya. Roll on next week.

| Poor game to be honest, but so proud of the team .
Let’s be right, yep we have a few players out, but nowhere near as many as Leeds.
Even so it was a deserved win against a team that would have turned over half the league.
Great effort from one to seventeen, but Timmy, take a bow .

| Didn't think it was a poor game
Leeds gave a squad depth that most clubs would envy while we were missing 3 of our starting pack including the Captain and a couple of class strike players from the backs. I'd argue that is harder for us to handle than what Leeds had to cope with!

| It was a game low on quality but high in effort, watching it back has confirmed that. Despite the garbage coming from the idiots on sky BOTH side were missing quality players and it showed but there was plenty of quality still out there on BOTH sides and we just nicked a deserved win in my probably biased opinion. Some decent stuff from Smith in attack from us and some poor stuff as well but the attitude of the guys since Webster took over is what ultimately got us the points. The difference is amazing. Shame about Godinet though, he's been very good for us recently.

If you think that game was top quality, then fair doo’s, I feel you’re a little rose tinted.
You’re sounding like, if we had played our best team & they had played theirs, we would have won anyway!
Not a chance, get real.

I haven't seen anyone suggest it was top quality, but I didn't see a poor game; it wasn't the greatest game I've ever seen, but it was far from the worst.
I think you're being a little harsh; two teams missing key players, a close, hard-fought battle, nicked in the closing minutes by the massive underdog - what's not to like?!

Where did I say it was a top quality game?
Neither have I suggested that at full strength were a match for Leeds at full strength just that both teams were similarly handicapped by absentees tonight rather than the impression SKY were giving that Leeds were missing loads and us none.
So try getting it right before being a sanctimonious nkob!

Maybe I've been watching too much NRL, because I found it error strewn & a tad predictable, except for the result.
I'm sure there's many a non-Wakefield fan that enjoyed Leeds getting beat, I just found it a bit hollow, compared with past (very rare) victories.

| Jesus, I know it's been miserable on here this season but surely you can enjoy tonight's win over Leeds!
The players ran their blood to water, tackled themselves to a standstill, got up off the floor and found a way to win and showed some class in scoring the Mathers try in particular.

You don't need to insult me simply because I have a different opinion to you.
Leeds were not similarly handicapped to us, with a full squad against ours, they would batter us.
From a neutrals point of view, it was a poor quality game.

| Don't be sanctimonious then!
Leeds:
=#FF0000Jones-Bishop; T Briscoe, Watkins, Moon, =#FF0000Hall; Sutcliffe, =#FF0000McGuire; Bailey, Aiton, Peacock, S Ward, Delaney, Minchella.
Replacements: Walters, Singleton, R. Ward, Mulhern.
I've bolded the players who don't have decent levels of SL experience while the internationals are highlighted in red, not so handicapped as SKY would have us believe
