Quote ="JINJER"Just driven down Donny road now, frameworks have been added to the back of the stand now to give it some depth, started about 10yds (I think) from the start of the metal frame at the North stand end. I’m guessing this is gonna be offices, entrance, corporate etc. I was in moving traffic so couldn’t take photos'"
I posted the item below a couple of days ago, there is a lot going on at the ground level.
Yes the middle section that extends further back is to accommodate the extra rooms such as conference rooms classrooms offices, reception area on the ground floor. The upper floor the extended area is for the hospitality section, staircases and lifts. We’ll see the shape better hopefully, when we get new drone photos in say a week’s time
There has been some mention of size comparison between North Stand and the new East Stand. I’ve looked at the plans and here are the measurements.
East Stand. Total length between 14 roof beams is 96.5 metres.
Roof height @ front (south elevation) 14 metres
Depth. From first row terrace to stairwell/lift shaft 31.7 to 33 metres.( one of the measurements line doesn’t show to this wall)
North stand application drawings from Oct 2011, very basic, shows height of 9 metres @ the front, from the middle walkway. It doesn’t show the length, and there is a sort of sketch for the western terrace development but as I say, very basic
drawings.

| When Mr Carter said Asbestos problem getting sorted ,problem gone .Mr Carter did say the club were working on a plan to get fans and businesses to invest in the club and when it was sorted he would let people know.It is not to build the East Stand ,The pitch, the North stand, or the screen .The club are after grade A .so may be some things to do with that .Think those in charge of the club have done a great job in the worst recession since the 50\60 .Some so called fans just find faults with everything, about time they got behind the club .No I am and when asked will try to help them out

| I think its important to note that the club is a business and as fans we are customers of that business.
the business is owned by the Directors and they are the ones legally responsible for ensuring the business is viable (and ultimately growing)... again ... as fans we love the club and want to know everything, but there is no (given) right to know everything. Only buying a place on the board will enable that right!
it, of course, makes sense to involve the fan base as much as is reasonably possible... but we shouldn't expect every administrative, or operational decision is put on the big screen for peer review.
given the year on year progress made (especially in the way the business is run) I'm pretty happy at the moment.

Just as a general comment, I reckon 100k would get you a seat on the board. Obviously you be a junior shareholder but you’d be there.
For most trinity fans, myself include, that’s out of the question. However my bet is that there are a surprising number of fans for who that isn’t a huge amount.
As for a more modest shareholding and thus the right to attend an AGM. Then I suggested £500 - £1000 blocks. Again I know that precludes most fans, though not me (just).
That money will be used to help get a grade A.
When you look at it logically, it’s actually far more logical to guarantee SL by spending it on the ground than the players, players are unreliable. I’m not saying this is right, but if the IMG plans are implemented then surely it’s the way to go.
FWIW, I believe it will cost 1-2 million to get a grade A.
I’d hope that with both methods we could raise 500k. Hopefully we could borrow the rest, using the increased land value at BV as collateral. We may also be able to obtain some form of grant should we install a football team. This by the way is just me doodling, I have no idea if any of this is possible.

Any word on the buy a brick scheme? It's obviously not going to make a dent in the development costs, but might be more affordable for fans who are able to contribute but don't have a few hundred pound spare?

They had one years ago I remember buying a brick with the family name on if I remember correctly the wall was downstairs somewhere near where the changing rooms are now, not sure it still even exists.

| Just drove past stadium and they had the concrete pumping machine doing its stuff on the north terracing , steel work now almost full length by looks and much further back than the original footprint which really sticks out now .looks a very impressive and imposing structure even before a block is laid .

Exciting times and as the new stand progresses, it will give a real lift to everyone associated with the club and hopefully give Trinity some momentum going into the new season and, of course, help with attracting some new and returning fans.
For most of the last 50 years, it' hasn't been easy following Trinity with little on the pitch to cheer and plenty of issues off field but, finally, there is something to really look forward to.

| For those asking for video progress - I have spotted a camera in place, filming the progress.
I guess rather than a live feed, we will get a time-lapse at some point.
