| Wait until he starts to make an interchange 2 mins before the half finishes, that used to really wind me as much as his interchanges used to puzzle the whole crowd.
As for giving returning players a run out in the U20's, not a chance they will go straight back in as long as they are Agar's friends 17.
Feel for you fans, I really do.

| Quote ="Slugger McBatt"We can field who we like, we won't beat Wire at their place when they are fresh from a loss, and let's face it, not many teams would. For me, it's the home game against Catalan, and the London and Cas games where we should be hoping to pick up points. If we come out of Easter without a win, and that is possible if we blow the Cas game (because what do you bet that London start to come good), it is looking very grim for us.
I can live with the fact that things aren't gelling yet, but what is frustrating is that the problems are what we have been saying all along: no grunt up front and no goal kicker. That comes down to bad recruitment. What worries me is that some of the teams around us have started to show some form over a few games, and all we have shown is a good second half at Widnes.'"
It was well documented about the prop and kicker nobody was available whom the club saw in their plans, yes we are suffering but I would rather suffer and see us how we are than just signing players for the sake of it, now we have no financila issues we dont want to become an easy target for players who do not fit the patterns or are looking for an easy pay day.

For the prop I think signing up Dowes would have been a decent move. Seems Agar preferred to mess him about for some reason, though.

As baffling as it all is, and as unpopular as he is just for being here really, one thing is unquestionable.
We are playing pretty good, entertaining rugby, some of it is dumb rugby but thats down to the players trying to take too big a risk at the wrong time or the result of a unforced error.
So we aren't on the Black and White Bandwaggon yet!!!!

Give it time.
Seriously though, a fair few Hull fans (myself included) went through the 'it's the players' fault' stage (and I'm not for one minute saying they were/are completely absolved from any blame). When you see different groups of players with the same faults over a longer term, and also see what some of the players do under different coaches, however, the key common denominator becomes more apparent.

Perhaps, but that has yet to happen here, its only five games with a bunch of players that have never played together before and some who have played little first grade.
If your argument is still holding water at the end of the season, and it could be, fair enough. Until then it looks like sour grapes and makes (some) Hull fans look stupid.
If however it isn't the case and we are all happy bunny's over here, and FC are still no better off without Agar, i will await the avalanche of humble pie munching black and whites heading in land with their tail's between their legs, begging for forgiveness.
Cheap shots being taken, by faceless, classless babies in my humblest of humble opinions.

Agar stated on Yorkshire Radio last week that they were looking for a proven goal kicker to sign and looking at options to bring in a prop (Richard Moore ). So fingers crossed as WTW need to start winning games whatever the diehard fans say and there is a lack of depth to the squad of players ready for week in week out super league covering those 2 roles so I don't think it would be a waste of money.
On the positive side - Amor is back and with Raleigh should start.
In the meantime I think AGAR has to show his worth as a coach and give an opportunity to a young squad member who can goal kick goals and look at finding them an appropriate position in the team. If Walshaw is not a centre then Cockayne to replace Mellars and Grayshon to wing? Agar would be praised for giving youth an opportunity and trying to temporarily solve the serious lack of a goal kicker.
There is nothing to lose against a team like Warrington and it would be good preparation for the other games we have more of a chance of winning. Also rest players that are carrying knocks and blood other squad players (Walshaw,Mariano,Ellis,James) as well, thats done in other sports to good effect.

I don't mean anything as a cheap shot. I also think he was given plenty of time at Hull to do better, but simply didn't, and he wasn't treated unfairly by most. Neither do I think that him being a success for you would make most of us look stupid or require us to eat humble pie, as it wouldn't change what he did with us nor make what he did do any more successful. Sometimes coaches just don't work out for a club, and it may be that that was the case for him and us, or he may just have learnt enough from it to do a better job for you. I for one won't feel silly if he impresses for you, just as I won't take any satisfaction if he fails. I was just offering some observations of my experience of an Agar team and how they would appear to compare to some of your fans' impressions so far.

it's odd i agree. think he's looked okay in a below average team. which in a half back position is no mean feat. also compare and contrast that with the hero status afforded (by some) to ben cockayne who's our current top try scorer on the back of what for the most part would be called "tap ins" in soccer (no slight on bc for this for the more sensitive souls on here). we all have different opinions and perceptions i suppose.

| It really does beggar belief the unfair criticism some players receive.
John creates three tries and I think someone referred to him as out of his depth.
Well done CostinsaGiant for giving opposing fans fair appraisal.
Having watched the video of the game I also feel Tim Smith had a fair game.
Took on the line, got over but ruled not to have touched down, constantly organising and I think we had three near misses off his passes.

I have to agree with Mr Spackler mate.I can`t see how we can be made to look stupid when all we have done is pointed out our last few seasons.I know it must get on your nerves with some Hull fans swooping in to have a go at Agar, but whatever the outcome I would not eat humble pie over my thoughts of him.I truly hope he does well for Wakey. As for being faceless, what else can we be on here?

Hull has a pattern with coaches. In 7 years, we've had:
Love him, got us the cup - Kear - bored now, sack him.
Love him, got us to a Grand Final - Sharp - bored now, sack him
Love him, got us to Wembley - Agar - bored now, sack him.
Love him, putting us on the right track - Gentle - to be continued

We are playing dumb risky rugby because we have talented 1 to 7 and some good back rowers playing behind no punch in front row. Beaten pack = no go forward = risky Rugby..simples! Oh and nobody who can kick for good field position also simples...RL is a very simple game really

What all 3 of those have in common and eventually Gentle will be added to the list, is that it was all Agar's fault.

Strange that both Kear and Agar have come from us to Wakey.
Sharp was missing his beach hut on Bondi beach.
Who knows, maybe you will have the Gentle touch next.

Not at all. IMO Kear was treated poorly by the club. Arguably the decision was the right one, but the way it was handled was definitely wrong. I actually think he deserved 2-3 more games.
Sharp paid the price for poor recruitment/retention, something that Agar actually did pretty well at for us. With the rumours that persistently circulated about our previous board it's still questionable whether Sharp was even to blame or just a sacrificial lamb for those above him doing things on the cheap.
Whether it sounds like sour grapes or not, and I appreciate that you fans want to give Agar a chance which is only right, Agar seemed to get far more backing from the board than either of the other 2 and with more control afforded to him than them, too. He still achieved less than both.
