PONNER seems to reckon Trinity wanted 140k for Brough, if true it's not surprising Hudds balked at that. Still if there is no desperation to sell then Trinity can ask for whatever they want.

unless the deal is off I dont think Danny should play at the weekend. We need to get used to playing without him and why not start now against a lesser team (no disrespect to Salford) and also I'm sure his week and training will have been heavily disrupted by the thought of the £££££'s. It does all seem a bit fishy that rumours have been around so long. I can't remember who or where, but I was told around the end of last season that he'd already agreed with them.

Surely he could sign for us if he wished. If he has signed a contract with Huddersfield what can they do, the contract is not worth the paper its written on because it was signed when he still was under contract therfore if Huddersfield were to bring up the matter it would confirm that they had made an illegal approach and who knows maybe an illegal payment,
