At least it shows that they've realised there was strong opinion from people who have stood on the West Terrace for years and didn't want to be forced to be moved.

Is your view that 'home' fans will be able to stand on the West terrace at the Warrington game? Perhaps it is me (I am a bit slow

), but my interpretation is that it will be the same as the Hull game:

'Supporters will not be prevented from standing in the Western Terrace when the number of travelling fans allows it, and the club requests supporters understanding that this cannot be guaranteed to be the same area they have watched from historically' - from the statement.

Is it the same as the Hull game or will the Wire bring less support?
When will the decision be made, will it depend on how many have 'clicked' the West turnstiles by 15:15?
The statement, as I read it, does not clarify the position for Sunday.
Why not categorically state yes or no to the West terrace access question for Sunday's game?

It's as clear as mud. However, it would appear that partial sense has been seen by the club, so I'm pleased because I can stand on the West terrace.

If we are expecting more than a few 'away' fans, then it seems that the West terrace will be Warrington only

It's a wishy washy statement. I am a Trinity an I'll stand on the west terrace thanks. It's certainly softer language than the club official was using last week, it's progress but I don't thinkn the plain English campaign will be handing out an award here.

Who are the teams that warrant segregation? It doesn't even make it clear for the game in seven days time. All it shows is that they did not think it through, and still haven't thought it through.

For segregation read in a few weeks time when we play Catalan and the game is on SKY you can stand on the western terrace so it looks a whole lot better.
Imagine it now no home fans on the western terrace against Catalan now that would look a poor showing.
Go with the flow you and I have been moved from that area so keep away from it and find another spot to watch the game from its simple.

The club to bury its head in the sand, ignore the advice of the police etc and cop a huge fine when the inevitable trouble occurs.
I used to stand in the old south stand. Then had to move to the west stand when it was demolished, and then to the east stand when the west went west.
They will certainly have to adapt when Newmarket is a reality.

Well, your right the club have still been vague there, [uthough I would assume that Warrington bring a healthy crowd [/uand as such the Western Terrace will be for away fans only.

Perhaps the club wait to know how many tickets the visiting club have sold and received the West Yorkshire Police briefing before making a decision.

You call it bloody minded do you? Well that's your view I suppose, it's contrary to mine as I consider that the club have not taken appropriate measures to deal with the small minority of trouble makers and withdraw the best vantage point from people who have funded the club for decades without any meaningful consultation or dialogue. To me it's pretty straightforward as to why some people are rightly resisting this nonsense.

Newmarket will be a brand new stadium with good views from all round. My sincere hope is that there will be a Warrington style standing area down the touchline. If there's not then I'll be sitting on or around the halfway mark, happy to be in a stadium fit for the future of this great club.

That's fair enough. I still maintain that little or no real efforts have been made to root out the trouble causers. It's all about opinion.

I think the club welcome opinions, but ATEOTD they have to make a call and it would certainly help us all achieve the aim of enjoying a safe environment if we abide by what they have asked for. Beyond that you are into the realms of it being a private company on private land and if we don't follow the rules then.....

I can't believe I'm quoting Tony Blair, but when you decide, you divide; I guess the skill is leaving as few people as possible feeling disgruntled and that's what appears to have happened here, since whilst some people have what they perceive to be a valid grievance, they seem to be relatively few in number.

You can't please all of the people and all that jazz.
