Brilliant post mate. 100% sensible and measured. Some utter hysteria on here. An apparent complete amnesia for the shocking injury situation we suffered last season. The whole game is in a state of flux. We need to survive as a club. We need to take a deep breath and realise this is not a normal situation. It's not great to see us with our backs to the wall. But we need to support not Knock at this time in my view.

Sports out..threatens the existence of rugby league as a sport and Wakefield trinity as a club. Think a dose of reality is required. And "last year" we had a shocking injury situation. Impossible to handle and hats off to all for keeping us up. As for fans who accept mediocrity. No we don't. , But we do accept reality and we do SUPPORT our club

As regards last couple years where it all seemed to go wrong was the Huddersfield away game lacking 6-7 first teamers (or 11 if you use the same method as some on here ! ) we thumped a much fancied Huddersfield team. After that we just never seemed to have shown the same team spirit - or maybe it coincided with Dave starting his fitness injury woes.

I think what we all find frustrating is that actually even with injuries we have a better team on paper than some that comprised entirely of kids loaners etc who still managed a better win average .

In current squad we have rookie of year 2017 in max jowitt, 3 players that have been in dream team. In virtually every position bar scrum half we have at least two experienced players with super league reputation

We were not good prior to the Covid break but whatever happened during this time has not only caused the performances to worsen but the team spirit to deteriorate. It appears we are no longer comfortable as a team and are now just individuals. The furlough may have saved the club but not done much for the team.

Wasn’t dross though was it. We have played badly but not on Friday. You can’t have it both ways. If the performances are improving then surely the direction is positive. If they were the same or were getting worse you’d have a point.

Did Hull play at the same standard as Catalans or Warrington?

It's not a tricky question, but I guess you've figured out that by admitting that Hull didn't play as at the same standard as Catalans, that means that there might not have been the proclaimed improvement in Trinity's performance, but just that they appeared to play better because they faced a weaker opposition.

You could just as easily say our improved enthusiasm and defense caused Hull not to play as well.

As I’ve said in another post Hull FC haven’t been able to buy a win apart from the victory over the Giants Academy team. Against us they had as many youngsters in the team as us maybe more and they’re dealing with Covid disruption like everyone else. Add into the mix they’ve got an interim coach in charge having sacked Redford just prior to lockdown.
Yet we still lost!

Efforts one thing, improved performance is another. The very least we should expect is effort!

I don't know how much they paid for the win against Cas yesterday but I enjoyed it whatever the cost.

What the Chester outers on here have to understand regarding the Hull match, is outside your little bubbles Hull were expected to win the match...every bookmaker in the land had them down as strong favourites at prices varying from 2/5 to 1/3...

We were NOT favourites to win that match. If we had been expected by all the neutrals to win, like Hull were, then maybe there would be more justification in calling it a poor effort/result...

So it's not Chester's fault then but the bookies,If all the bookmakers in the land had Hull down as strong favourites at a price of 2/5 to1/3 well perhaps Chester ought to stop the players from looking at the bookies odds then, stop them getting inside they're heads
