He had just scored a try v a team who told him he wasnt good enough..how would you react. Not sure where he was brought up but he went to outwood school and when you watch shudds play he tends to do well

He did no celebration whatsoever in front of his own fans. He ran across to the Wakefield fans and gave an up yours. Had it been football then the fans would probably have reacted to goading of that level.

Anyway, Shudds are welcome to him. Until the subject was brought up he meant nothing to me other than a guy with chubby white legs and no respect for our fans. I wouldn't expect him to be so two faced as to want to join our team.

But I'll probably make my judgement on how he played if he ever comes to us.



In the meantime I'm unlikely to judge a young lad on one flash point incident where he made a gesture in the general direction of a crowd of people.

He probably doesn't even remember it and if he does may even regret it.

Wakefield fans are hardly charitable towards opposition players are they. Why is it such a trauma when they give us one back?

Only similar reaction I can recall was from Francis Mallony when he scored against us for Salford in that relegation decider back in 2003.

I get what you are saying and it might wind me up too but I don't think it has so heinous a crime that it should dog him forever. He celebrated in the moment.

nothing like over reacting is there, when Matty scored the try he stumbled a few yards forward and yes he was facing the Wakey fans because that's where we was all sat, why not celebrate his try I'm sure someone off the shudds board would be able to confirm it but I think it was his first try in Super league, had he gone to the side lines he might of found a few fans there, as for goading I'm sure there's plenty on here that have goaded players so surly it works both ways.



he was in the Stanley team with my lad and also played in the same school team, there never was the best of friends but he was a valued team as to he was the focus that team would play around, he never shirked his responsibility and would always lead from the front, I often thought he was reckless in his play as he never took a step back and took some big hits, I don't think he has any self preservation and would always put his body on the line, no wonder he played for England.

as for Matty not being on Wakey radar, he was on quite a few but chose to go with Huddersfield instead, might show its not the be all and end all to travel to clubs like Wigan, Warrington, saints and I think at the time he made a very good choice



would I have Matty in my team, yes I would he the type of player we need, young, strong, and fearful



as for this discussion on players from another side who has yet to be relegated seams a bit pointless as we are not yet safe our selves

I was and I couldn’t care less, I think some on here are being hypocrites. Fifita does it all the time and we lap it up so what’s your problem? At least it shows the kid cares.

Let’s get back onto the thread topic. Should the final round game between the four bottom clubs be played same time same day. Wakefield v London, Huddersfield v Catalans, HKR v Salford. It used to be games involving relegation battles kicked off same time same day. I’m not sure if that matters now as scores from other matches can be seen in seconds and relayed to coaches/players during their match. I’m hopeful that our London game will be irrelevant in a good sense for the Trinity fans.
