That's no easy beat squad. We'll have to be at our best for this game. They are going to be well up for it for their first game back. Couple of ex Wakefield players wanting to show how good they are too.

Certainly not expecting an easy game but I would hope that we will be as up for it as they are.
With my Rose tinted glasses on I would say, comparing squads and taking the best man in each position the resulting team would have more Wakey players than Widnes players.
In that case I would hope we have enough to beat them but I think it will be a hard fought battle.

Personally I can't judge it because frankly I have never heard of half of them - don't know if that is good or bad. Don't rate Ah Van and that's about all I can say.

Looking at the squads i would say you should be winning this game comfortably.

i think both the Widnes and Salford games will be tight and its difficult the first game of the season as it usually turns into the referee show rather than a RL game. I fancy us to beat Widnes but have a feeling Cas will get beat by Salford

With a full team i think we would but with no huby, youngquest, millington for definate and walker, jackson and snitch all possibly out we could have a difficult game on our hands.

It was mentioned at the ST event the other night that Trout had torn his shoulder and was a doubt for Friday.

would be surprised if ellis missed out. he's being talked about as our best signing by many people outside of wakefield circles.

Both him and Aiton, looks like we have two of the best no9's in SL which IMHO is vital as the interchange is now reduced. Would seem strange not to play them both especially as Aiton can cover L/F I'm led to believe.

aiton is nailed on to be players' player of the year from what i've heard.

Well it would be a refreshing change from the boredom of the usual lot contesting it!
To say SL was supposed to be getting more competitive (mentioned years ago) I'm afraid there is still a huge gap between top and bottom-let's hope it can be closed!
