Totally wrong viewpoint from JK though. If he had had a full pre-season training with the rest of the guys and was match fit fair enough. As it happened he had been out injured and unable to train with the team due to visa issues.

He has been training with the team as normal and has had virtually a full pre-season. He had a visa to be in the country so could train but didn't have a working visa so couldn't play.

I have to admit to not rating Smith as a player but he deserves more than one game before people write him off. See how hes doing in half a dozen games time and judge him then.

Was smith not allowed to train with team due to not having perrmit cleared prior to match? Thought I'd read that but may be wrong. In hindsight it wasn't the best call but it's easy to criticise that, if selection is based on performance then smith and dean (who had s good game vs cats) would not play this week.

Regardless players have off days but still need our support from the terraces. Too early to get on players backs yet

Any half back is going to struggle to look good behind our pack. Not having a go at the pack but they are not going to dominate in any game. That said we need the best possible kicking game in order to get any sort of field position. Smith, Lee, Jeffries, Renaldi, Hyde, Davey, Wildie all make Sam Obst look like he had a kicking game. Harvey has a great kicking game ; he should play.

I just hope they use them curled up corners to our kicking game, we never seem to utilise them as good as bradford do

Who cares who plays at half back, they wont get any ball anyway.

What a waste of time bringing Harvey in. We'll have had to pay wages to this lad and what was the point in jk bringing the poor lad over if he's not going to play him. Would have been much better for him to go out on loan to a championship side feel sorry for the kid probably thought he'd be coming to gain some sl experience.

Whats the betting Wire put him in against us on Friday and he has a stormer. TBH I wouldn't blame Wire if they refused to lend us any more players if we are going to waste their time.

I wouldn't blame wire for playing their reserve side full stop, would more than likely give us at least a game and keep their big guns fresh for the week after. This season is going to be extremely tough for us.

With the lack of creativity in the side the decision not to give Harvey a chance beggers belief. Kear has lost the plot on this one.

He would have added to the team thats for sure. Lee's passing is shocking and i'm not convinced about Hyde as a halfback. Although 3 tries in 4 superleague games can't be knocked his game is about support play rather than creativity.
